Though my life is fulfilling because of work and the kids there is something missing in my life - I hope that's you! I am compassionate, non-confrontational (even when I know I am right I just let it go!), drama-free, and a great pool shot! I am not selfish or high maintenance or materialistic, finding pleasure in the simplest gestures of kindness and appreciative when good people enter my life.
I also love power tools and a few years ago I gutted and remodeled my home, doing most of the work myself. I am all-girl but am more comfortable at a pool table, beating the boys than in a beauty parlor, gossiping with the girls. I would rather go to the ball game than the mall or host a Superbowl party than a Tupperware one.
What am I looking for in a man? I would say a man of integrity who is emotionally mature, trustworthy, communicative, affectionate, (good sense of humor also works), attentive, and has the capacity to handle the challenges, opportunities that accompany a woman who is a single parent, a very busy small business owner who is on a journey to find the man who will spend the rest of her life with!! If this even remotely frightens you then I'm not the one!... Although I know it takes time to meet and discover "this" person, I don't and won't waste my time!! No Nonsense Please! It's important to me for you to have the backbone to stand erect when the going gets tough, not that you get going.... If you're currently in a midlife crisis, then I'm not the one! Sorry. I desire a relationship with mutual respect and appreciation for the gifts we offer one another. Someone who makes my heart beat faster from the sound of his voice or as his fingers caress my cheek. He gives me goosebumps and I do the same for him. Kids naturally love him, are drawn to him. Family and friends are very important to him. I tend to be old-fashioned in that I believe the man is the head of the household and I look forward to creating a home he can't wait to come home to after a hard days work. Intimacy is very important to maintain a healthy and loving relationship. Being part of a couple is important to me... From spending time together alone to going to life celebrations and holidays with family and friends and attending local social functions, fundraisers, fairs and festivals. I want it all! A truly balanced relationship.
I am not a slender girl. If that is a priority for you, no need to contact me. That said, finding someone who will motivate, encourage (and push) me to work on my outside would be very welcome. Stick around to see the results!
I own a special event decorating business... BalloonWorks by The Party Girls! www.balloonworksbythepartygirls.com Have a peek... I love what I do! Do you?
I have a respectful relationship with the father of my children (and his new wife) and he's a great dad.
As for my kids, I guarantee they will like and respect you... as long as you make their mom happy! My children are Sarah, 25 Ellen, 23, Jane, 18, Mary, 16 and Jack, the only important man in my life, is 15.
Listening, displaying attention and affection
Making people feel comfortable
Being transparent with my feelings/thoughts
At making you feel loved and appreciated

How many men I meet who prefer to keep looking for the next best thing around the corner instead of what is right in front of them.
Someone recently shared a story with me. He said he was talking to a man from another country. The man said to him, here in America, you marry the one you fall in love with. He said, in our country, we fall in love with the one we marry. He also mentioned the divorce rate is substantially lower in his country.
I think there is something to be said about how things are done in his country. What we do here is not working more than 50% of the time.
