My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey there, we don't have much time so let's be quick with the important details:

Mathematics - It's so good. I love me some numbers.

Words - Yeah, I use them. I like reading them too. I hope you want to get all verbose and in the mood to be jocular. We're going to whipple the fluzzgate and shingle the montro. I think I forgot how to use words.

Robots - No really, I actually do like robots. I can't explain it.

Regular stuff - Let's not get ridiculous. Of course I like all the regular stuff. I play games, watch movies and some shows, read oodles, have a job. Don't be surprised when I tell you that I have family members, friends, and roommates. I have debts from when I was younger and don't have a crazy amount of money. My world is a whirlwind of excitement and adventure. And this adventure means spending many nights watching dumb videos online and telling myself I need to get better at cooking. A THRILL RIDE.

I have come to the realization that I'm very bad at being a Portland person.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Waiting for you to message me. And thinking of more terrible pick-up lines.

Also, slowly learning about programming as that's super fun stuff and where I'll be going for a career.

Paying off my large debts I brought upon myself from being stupid, young, and provided large credit limits. I have great credit now and most the debts are paid off but I'm limited in the expensive fun I can have.

I bet I'm doing other stuff, too.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Mathematics! Words! Robots! Can I even be good at robots? Of course! Video games! Self-deprecating wit (if only I wasn't so dumb!)! Asking random questions! Writing dating site profiles! Making things awkward only when the situation won't be worse for it! Using exclamation points.

Bonus section

What I'm really bad at:

Swimming (I can't!). Drawing (Looks terrible!). Art in general, actually (Can't sculpt or paint or much of anything artistic!). Drinking coffee (Not a fan!). Eating bananas (Ugh, they're the worst!). Being concise (I write too much!). And much, much more (Just ask!).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If it's not obvious by now that I take things lightly I don't know how I else I can make that apparent.

Unless we meant physically. In which case I've been complimented on both my eyebrows and my fingernails in the past so honestly I have zero idea what you all are really looking at ever.

Oh, and I'm shorter than the average male. Kind of annoying. And I bet most people notice that my hair is thinning but don't really want to bring it up. I won't cry too hard if you want to talk about it. It's only been happening for ten years now so I think I've come to terms with it and make do with what I have.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - I read plenty of non-fiction and fiction. Read random non-fiction as it pleases me with extra emphasis towards animals and food and less on biographies. Fiction has been heavy in fantasy in years past but I enjoy variety with stuff like Neil Gaiman, Chuck Palahniuk, and Name-Another-Popular-Author-Here. I also enjoy trying to enjoy the classics.

Random specifics that I enjoyed: Great Expectations, The Bell Jar, Shogun, The Wheel of Time series, Stardust, Neverwhere, The Time Traveler's Wife, and more!

Movies - Willing to watch just about anything and often don't dislike films as they find their ways to amuse me. Oddly love musicals both modern and classic. I prefer good writing over big explosions but I definitely try to watch a bit of everything.

Random specifics that I enjoyed: Any and all Wes Anderson or Coen Brothers films (like everyone else!), American Psycho, Requiem For a Dream, Moulin Rouge (possibly my most watched film), Top Gun (the other top spot for most watched), Edward Scissorhands, Silver Linings Playbook, The Town, Breakfast at Tiffany's, North by Northwest, Pleasantville (the first DVD I bought), and many, many more!

Shows - Rather picky here. Finished all of Dexter and 30 Rock. Going through Breaking Bad. When I get time I plan to watch more Mad Men and Californication. Thought House of Cards and The Newsroom were excellent.

Music - I go in-and-out of music. Some older favorites would be Barenaked Ladies, Tegan and Sara, and Mariachi El Bronx. Lately checking out Lorde, Mackelmore, the newest Kanye West album, AWOLNATION, and Manchester Orchestra. I listen to a lot of musicals, Disney songs, and show tunes when I'm in my car because they're the most fun to sing. You can join me if you're not embarrassed.

Food - I'll eat pretty much anything. I love burritos. I hate bananas. I try to keep things mixed up if I go out. I don't like Mediterranean food from what I've had. I aim to cook more.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Books
2. Knowledge
3. Robots
4. Numbers
5. Computers
6. You
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what I'm writing for these answers, if you ask me.

Everything.

I also constantly play through situations, conversations, and possibilities in my mind.

The meaning of words.

How to say words that I've read but have never heard spoken.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at home. Probably reading something online, watching a show/movie, playing a game, or finding something else to amuse myself.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I honestly would like to be in a good relationship. I may write my profile like a joke but that should do a decent job catching the interest of people I'd enjoy talking to.

I also realize that most people really don't understand how nerdy I am. I've spent a lot of my life playing games, reading fantasy, reading manga, or watching anime. Some of that is more in the past than present. And I still don't think any of the Star Wars movies are all that entertaining nor much of the older Star Trek stuff. It's so cheesy!

Okay, let's get serious. This is what needs to happen.

You: Read, talk, listen, be willing to move around and like walk and maybe go outside. Be willing to try new things even if it means you find out they're gross (this is in line with me attempting to get better at cooking. I hope you can lie straight to my face). I want to learn new stuff from you and occasionally made to feel stupid when I realize how ignorant I am on some obvious topics.

It would be amazing if you could help me get the co-op achievements in Portal 2. And play other co-op games with me. This isn't necessary but it'd be fun.

Helps if you like robots.
