Hi, my name is Ivan Chavez. I love music, basketball and videogames.
I like all rock genres from glam metal to grunge, Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater is my inspiration as a drummer. Im´not a fanboy or a hater so I'm always open for new music.

I like team sports such as soccer, volleyball and basketball but for some reason i'm more into basketball, i only play in my college basketball team and in some amateur leagues.

The virtual world of videogames is where a release my tension and forget about the real world, sometimes you just need to chill out and kill each other just for fun.

I'm a senior on electronics and telecomm engineering, there are many opportunities for masters degrees but im looking for a job on the electronics field.
I'm also a teacher so i may start teaching math, computer science or electronics.
I'm a designer for the VEX Robotics Competition team at college.
So if you haven't noticed or you're still just wondering YES I'm a nerd.

I'm very good with machines, any kind of machines. *serious face*
I'm really good when talking to people, I'm able to steal a laugh or at least a smile from almost anyone.
I'm fairly good in the kitchen, because "get back in the kitchen" is getting girls out of the kitchen so i fear for starvation for my future married life.

They say that I look like i'm about to punch someone, for some reason my friends say i have an intimidating gaze, like i'm always angry or something, i say: sorry but that's how my face is.

Lord of the Rings (both movies and books), Game of Thrones (both books and TV series), 20.000 leagues under the sea and some other fiction books, I'm not a Harry Potter fan, i'm ok with the movies but i read the first two books when i was like 12 and i thought they were boring, i don't think i'm changing my mind any time soon.

I'm kind of a movie snob, i don't like new movies, some of them are ok but i haven't seen anything particularly good on the theaters since lord of the rings.

I'm always open for new music, but i do have a top 5 bands, Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Caifanes (Check these guys out on YouTube) and Megadeth. I also recommend checking the old albums from Scorpions and the unplugged concert of Zoé.

I'm always trying to fight the mexican cliche but when it comes to food i'm all about tacos, enchiladas and very spicy food, sorry but my genes control my desires for food, i found japanese food to be very refreshing and healthy (and expensive).

School and what im doing with my life, i dont know what to do next, there are a lot of opportunities but i don't know what to do yet.

Depending on the mood, i may get a few drinks with my budies from college, have a videogame night with my brother, playing with my band on some party or bar, or maybe have some dinner or watch a movie with some girl i like.

I rather have my dates on weekdays, i feel more like out of the routine that way.

I'm secretly in love with Deborah Harry from Blondie, the 80's version of course, for some reason i fell for her when i watched the call me video on you tube, like seriously i should have been born 20 years earlier.
