My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Affectionate and attentive, "still boyishly handsome" (a direct quote from my ex), entrepreneurial and conscientious, spiritually developed and therapized, observant and intellectually curious, live in nature and work in city.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Update: I became the lead composer for a musical that's entering a competition in New York, and I'm finally completing my book on the art of practicing (for all artists).

I'm blessed to be doing what none of my ancestors had the luxury of doing—being a full-time musician—performing and recording with my favorite jazz and world music artists in the Bay Area. I play piano and keyboards, vocals, alto flute, and hand and mallet percussion from around the world. [I bet there's a label for someone who leads a half-dozen bands, maybe something like 'Acquired Band Leader Syndrome']. I teach other teachers .
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Communicating and listening without giving unsolicited advice, bodywork, poetry, kissing, avoiding owner's manuals, graphics, cooking, guessing what instrument someone plays or used to play (isn't everyone clairvoyant at something ?), imitating a drum-set & bass with my mouth...not complaining that I carry hundreds of pounds of gear to most gigs.

Seriously good at composing, arranging, & teaching.

I see Beauty in everything. The music in someone's speech,
the poetry in their eyes, the dance in their gestures, the design
in a pile of leaves, the unintended humor in a billboard, what a building says about a culture. "There is Beauty everywhere,
only some see it", said The Buddha.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
* Supportive friends and open-hearted communication
* Humor that questions my assumptions and all the arts
* Hot showers & touch
* My gym
* The sound of nature
* Organic produce
* Non-corporate media
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
* How to not take things personally, while taking 100% responsibility for how I show-up.
* That the greatest artistic cultures have the most cross-polination, yet non-native species that cross-polinate are usually destructive to their physical environment...
* My next composition, arrangement, or poem.
* How great it is living in the Bay Area.

Why OkCupid's profile don't include these questions:
> "Are you attracted more to vegans or virgins ?"
> "If your car could talk, would it lie to the CHP for you ?"
> "Your dog is feeling depressed. Would it be ethical to force it to watch John Stewart and Stephen Colbert for a week ?"
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
* Practicing or performing
* Hanging with a friend
* Thinking about dancing with you in the moonlight
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I spit out my dessert laughing at a commercial about
a baby wolf...
