My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So this has brought on some serious soul-searching. After doing 10 seconds or so of that, I realized that my personality doesn't take well to description. So I'll go easy on myself and on you and list some random preferences: cities over suburbs; museums over malls; walking over driving; gallery crawls over bar crawls; late nights over early mornings; Stones over Beatles; NBC over NFL (I know those two sometimes overlap but you know what I mean).

Having lived in Pittsburgh for four years, I've realized that for all the cool events and places the city has to offer, there's nothing more worthwhile to do here than meet the people I share the city with and talk about the differences and similarities between our lives, and how they have led us to the same place at the same time. I basically treat Pittsburgh like Sesame Street.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
EGOTing mostly.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm somewhat adept at: remembering (sometimes begrudgingly) pop culture trivia; joking at my own expense; joking at the expense of my friends; non sequiturs; laughing louder than anyone you know; eating at a glacial pace; bookmarking Internet articles; freewheeling philosophical discussions; not putting Baby in a corner; recycling.

And here are some things I'm not good at at all: keeping my sugar intake below Willy Wonka's; taking fast showers; video games that are not Super Smash Bros.; decreasing the amount of Internet articles I've bookmarked; ice skating; not sneaking food into movie theaters.
The first things people usually notice about me

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Globalization; moral relativism; the powers that be; Dunkaroos; how long it will take to watch everything in my Netflix queue; how to be a better brother/uncle/friend/son; barguments of the past and future; how much I prefer summer over winter.

And this:
"I got a jump rope. That thing's just a rope, man. You gotta make the jump thing happen."

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Taking in what Pittsburgh has to offer: concerts, galleries, restaurants, plays, sporting events. Or, you know, Redbox.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes when I'm eating fantastic food, I start cursing a lot because handling deliciousness can be very laborious for me.

I've poured a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into trying to understand the popularity of The Big Bang Theory, to no avail.
