My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey! I'm Jack, and I'm just a queer dude who loves rocks & ideas & places & movies. I just moved to Madison for grad school (in ~structural geology~) and would love to make some new friends. Strictly platonic, though! I'm in a monogamous relationship.

I've lived various places around Ohio & Pennsylvania but I'm originally from Cleveland, and love Northeast Ohio. It combines a lot of my personal cultural interests: urban decay, suburbia, and americana.

My interests vary from local history to literature to cinema to pop culture. I spend my spare time accordingly: watching movies, visiting museums and other sites of local interest, roller skating, going to parties, etc.

I am fascinated by the effect of the internet on our personal lives, and I consider net culture to be a huge influence on my style and identity (not in a seapunk / vaporwave way or anything, though). I don't at all subscribe to ideas of analog authenticity, and, though somewhat ambivalent on broad-scale impacts of the internet, do think that social media can be a powerful tool for personal growth/change/whatever
