My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Greetings, My name is Justin and I am a native to the PNW. I have lived just north of Seattle all my life. Like most Seattleites, I have a strong desire to partake in outdoor activities and be one with the wilderness, tinker with complicated technology, and obsess about the Seahawks. No I am not depressed by the infamous last play.

My passion for the arts leads me to always keep my eyes and ears open looking for that new something. I'm a true Taurus that appreciates quality. One does not have to go to a museum to find a masterpiece. I remember a little hole in the wall restaurant in downtown Seattle. A local artist was present with all of her photos displayed. A black and white photo of an alleyway grabbed my attention. We had a lovely discussion about it and other pieces. It was simplistic yet there was feeling behind it and the artist and I had an extraordinary conversation.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work a regular nine to five for a not so regular government organization. Been there for nearly a year and a half. Saving the world one day at a time... or am I reading all your emails.

I just moved into the newly purchased home of a good friend. Besides tearing down walls and pulling up carpet, we have had several crash courses in installing hardwood floors and remodeling the TV room and are currently discussing putting in a bar. I seem to have collected much more alcohol than we can consume. I have quite the collection of different Scotches. I may even let you try my Oban if you ask nicely.

I have been doing crossfit casually for three years now. I want to be a bit more health conscious and I have decided to step it up and go three or more days a week. Compared to some people I know this only makes me a somewhat crazy crossfit activist. I am also toying with the idea of getting into more activities in the strongman/powerlifting group.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can build a signal fire that will make you step 30 feet back and spot a satellite before anyone else can while stargazing. Oh and I can drive in the rain and I am not sure why the rest of you can’t. I guess Washington state is just the land of zombie drivers. Pull over to the right! Also, I can tie a cherry stem with only my tongue.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I’m sure my baby blues don’t hurt or that I am blonde with a red beard. It is a Norse thing.

Kind of cheating, but from a recent three day workshop with coworkers I learned a few things about people’s first impressions of myself. We took turns expressing values of each member face-to-face. The responses I received included that I was: Knowledgeable, easy going, had a calm demeanor as well as a great sense of humor, I was a very efficient problem solver, self motivated, quick to learn, approachable, and, most importantly in my mind, was able to gain everyone's trust quickly. Afterwards the coach leading the workshop said I must have a “twinkle” in my eye.

I love Kevin Smith movies. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen Mallrats. His question and answers are even more fantastic. If you get the chance you should check out his special in London. The slight language barrier is hilarious.

I grew up on Princess Bride and the original Star Wars without the “enhanced” computer generated additions. The last two movies I really enjoyed were RED and John Wick. It is nice watching something where you aren’t disappointed in the Directors artistic adaptation of someone elses work. *cough* Peter Jackson I am looking at you!

I am not sure how to even tackle music. I am a child of the 80’s and 90’s and listen to the Golden Oldies as well. I was listening to Ed Sheeran and John Newman a few months before everyone else started to play them. I will I’ll switch it up and listen to Linkin Park and Hollywood Undead. Writing this reminds me that I have a large collection of Jazz to go through as well. I find the 64GB memory card on my phone limiting. However, there is one genre I will stay away from. Take a wild guess. All my exes live in Texas!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
An adventure shared with friends and family exploring the depths of creativity, the tingle of that one major Chord, a piece of art that provokes feeling while bathing in starlight beyond our measure of time. All wrapped up in a veil of laughter.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Right now it is the debate about the Bar installation with my housemate. Do I buy one off craigslist or maybe make one from scratch? My current issue on buying is the space it would fit in. I understand that the mobility would be useful but the particular bar we are looking is a bit too large and would cut off the flow in the rest of the room. Maybe if it comes down in price I’ll just get it anyways. Oh the dilemma from having too much fine Scotch, Tequila, Vodka and Gin on hand.

Creating a series of cover art for my brother’s books. I even picked up a surface with PhotoShop to start making things digitally. If he does well I just might get a WACOM display.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I have a fairly establish Friday afternoon Happy hour that I attend with friends and coworkers. It generally occurs in one of three locations: Downtown Seattle, Ballard, or Edmonds. Historically, Edmonds has been a haven for the almost dead but its really turning around recently and is becoming quite the hot spot. If happy hour is off the table then its time to workout.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have spent many a nights flashing my bellybutton at Russian spy satellites.

I would like to find someone who is upbeat, positive and sarcastic. Smiling is addictive and I'm an addict! I appreciate those with a love for most types of music and admire creativity in others.
