My self-summary
I'm an LA native who, growing up in the shadow of the entertainment industry, decided I wanted no part of it, then grew up and became part of it anyways. I started my freshman year at UC Santa Cruz with a couple AP Computer Science credits, and thought I would someday design video games for a living. Then I discovered college radio, found enormous joy in playing obscure prog rock records and re-enacting old radio serials with my buddies for an audience of thousands, and took an internship with a radio station after graduating.

Now I am a professional "radio personality" on a popular afternoon comedy show. It's a very strange job, but a very rewarding one, and I'm thrilled to have a job that lets me express myself so completely.

When I'm not at my job, as often as not I'm working on some personal project, whether it's writing a screenplay or editing a short film or recording a podcast. And when I'm not doing that, I'm out with friends, or possibly just getting really good at iPhone tower defense games.

That's enough for now, before this turns into a novel. Shoot me a message if you like!
What I’m doing with my life
Slowly pulling my lazy bones into adulthood.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh. Writing. Video editing. Doing terrible impressions of Eddie Vedder or Geddy Lee (yes, it is possible to be really good at being terrible at something.)
The first things people usually notice about me
My top hat, monocle, and corncob pipe, which I often smoke while pensively stroking my beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A sampling, cause there's no room for a full list:

Infinite Jest (or anything by David Foster Wallace), Catch-22, The Magicians, The Corrections, Retromania, The Wisdom Of Crowds, The Most Human Human, all three John Hodgman almanacs, Song Of Ice And Fire, Cloud Atlas (movie sucked but the book was great!)
Pulp Fiction, Dazed And Confused, The Big Lebowski (really anything by the Coen Brothers), The Royal Tenenbaums, Brazil, Zoolander, There Will Be Blood
Homeland, Archer, Arrested Development, South Park, Lost, Breaking Bad, Community.
Radiohead, Flying Lotus, The Flaming Lips, Neutral Milk Hotel, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Arcade Fire, The Walkmen
I'm very much a burger and fries guy, although I also love Thai and Italian food.
The six things I could never do without
My friends
My family
My music collection
My laptop
My headphones (they're pretty damn good headphones)
My wits
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The coming robot apocalypse. Hopefully it skews more Bender than Skynet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once owned a Limp Bizkit T-shirt. I wore it proudly. It haunts me.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–30
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You'd like to hang out! I don't love going clubbing, but I do love seeing movies, going to concerts, exploring interesting parts of LA, checking out comedy shows, going to the beach, or smoking a bowl, staring at the ceiling and listening to psychedelic music. That last one isn't the best first date, but if it sounds appealing to you, we probably have a lot in common!
