My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm so-called "middle-aged", divorced, finding my way through a lot of changes in my life and loving every minute of it while still taking time here and there to indulge the kid that still lives inside me. As I get older I've come to believe that age is not a number, but a state of mind. I don't see myself as old, nor do I act old. I know people considerably younger than I am who are much older than I am in how they act and their attitude toward life. I refuse to become them.

I enjoy being physical... hiking, walks, playing sports. I'm not a home body, but I do enjoy time at home. I love to be around people, but I enjoy my time alone. I am for the most part mature and responsible, yet at times indulge my inner child.

For a number of years I was in sales and was extremely successful. It was great for the wallet, but not so good for the soul. I did a lot of soul searching about what I wanted, what was important to me and what had value for me, and made a drastic change in my life. I chucked the career and changed fields to something I am passionate about and love doing that doesn't pay nearly as well - but I am much happier. Being happy is important. Making a lot of money can't buy you happiness. I'd much rather make less and love life than to make a ton and be miserable.

Most of my friends tend to be younger and I believe that's mainly because of my interests and activities. I tend to prefer women who are somewhat younger because they tend to be more full of life, more adventurous, and are far less jaded. Prove me wrong, I might be interested, but for now it's my preference.

If you enjoy going and doing... learning... having new experiences... seeing new things... traveling to new places... and are looking for someone to explore life with... let's talk.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
is enjoying it to the fullest and trying to be the best I can be.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being me. One thing I've learned in life is that I learn something new every day, and I can always do everything I do better and quite often the people I meet show me ways to do that.
The first things people usually notice about me

Not something I've ever asked anyone so I have no idea what they notice first.

My taste in everything tends to be eclectic. I like movies, but you'll rarely catch me at a movie theater (I can't deal with people who text, talk, or talk on their phone throughout a movie so I avoid movie theaters). I'll watch my movies in the comfort of my home or a friend's home, thank you. I'd prefer to go see a good play or or live performance.

Music can be anything from classical to jazz to blues to rock to metal to folk to progressive country. It depends on my mood and what I'm doing.

Food tends to be equally eclectic, but I'm up for most anything as long as it's good. How do you know whether you might like something if you've never tried it?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family. Friends. Food. Shelter. Sunshine. Water.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
my family and close friends and how they're doing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
anywhere doing anything. I might be working, traveling, out with friends, or a rare but much enjoyed quiet evening at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

is that I'm probably too analytical and over-think too many things.
