My Self-Summary
Hmm....not really much to say here. I'm a divorced father of two
children, and I work in the petrochemical industry as a chemist. I
have a very deep interest in medieval/renaissance activities, such
as the SCA, renaissance festivals, and western martial arts. I also
enjoy computer and tabletop games (yes, I used to play WoW).
What I’m doing with my life
At the moment, everything is status quo. I work during the week and
I hang out with my kids on most weekends.
I’m really good at
Um...I guess I'm really good at many things, some obscure and some
practical. As a hobby I like to craft things, which could range
anywhere from furniture to random pieces of art. I'm particularly
fond of crafting armor. I do alot of leatherworking, too. In fact,
I crafted the whip shown in my profile picture.
The first things people usually notice about me
Its usually my long blond hair.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I usually get into any book I can manage to read the first chapter
of. I do have a soft spot for sci-fi/fantasy stuff, though, like
Tolkien or Harry Potter. Its pretty much the same with movies.
foodwise, I'm pretty traditional but I do tend to be open to trying
new foods. I recently has some fairly yummy middle eastern cuisine.
I'm very diverse in my music interests, but I definitely have a
soft spot for the 80s and broadway musicals.
The six things I could never do without
Uh...air and water? Chocolate? Tough question. Definitely my
children and a significant other first and foremost. I'm sure a job
and a car would be fairly high on the list too, since its nice to
be able to eat and have a place to live.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Its usually something random. Lately I've been focusing on putting
together a suit of 13th century crusader armor for the SCA.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually, I pick up the kids and we go to dinner. Afterwards, we go
visit some of our family-oriented friends for a night of games for
the adults while the kids play together. Sometimes I like to go
hang out with some friends for some karaoke or a movie.
