My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Some more or less random facts about me. I'm a freelance writer, teacher, and poet. I've lived on both coasts and in the middle of the country and Europe: in Brooklyn (for 12 years), Boston, Ithaca, Boulder, The Netherlands (briefly), and Lincoln, Nebraska (I was born there, I had no choice in the matter). I was a hospice volunteer in New York City. I meditate, play guitar, read a lot, love seeing good films at Portland's many wonderful theaters, love being in the woods, trying new restaurants, exploring neighborhoods, etc. But what I enjoy most of all is lively conversation—connected, intimate, wide-ranging, witty, smart conversation. I think that's one of the very best things in life.

I'm affectionate and empathic and have a playful sense of humor.

And, yes, I do have a website, thanks for asking: johnbrehm.net.

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding the humor in almost everything, not taking myself too seriously, being supportive, listening, kissing (and associated activities). I'm a good cook. My daal is not dull!

I've never asked anyone this question. That I'm tall, maybe.
