I like to travel, go to museums, do anything outdoors, and try out new restaurants (and generally things I've never tried before).
I also like to think I'm a mixture of nerdy (likes to read, play video games) and active (working out, running).
According to OkCupid, I'm less "Conventionally Moral" than men my age... I don't know what that means but it makes me sound morally bankrupt. I would like to disagree with that assessment.
Also, I'm less "Experienced in Love" to which I say, "yeah, that's sort of the point of me being here, OkCupid".
CEO: "Why is our business in the UK having stagnant profit growth?"
Me: "I'll go find out. But I'm pretty sure it's not lupus. It's never lupus."
Despite me joking a bit about this, I'm actually really passionate about what I do and really ambitious about how far I want to go. I like being able to figure out how things work and being able to fix things or make them better.
That and/or probably reading and learning something new to keep my mind sharp, working out and running to keep my body in shape.
Being optimistic - seeing the bright side of things. Life's too short, and you wouldn't want to spend being gloomy all the time, right?
In my previous apartment in Chicago, I had two roommates. While we had our differences, it was ultimately fun with never a dull moment in the apartment. I looked forward to having more than one roommate once again here in my new city.
So I posted an ad on Craigslist and waited for the responses...
To my surprise, a lot of the responses came from women around my age. They sent me pictures and told me of their likes and dislikes. I couldn't figure it out. Neither could my friends or colleagues.
After some time I went back to my original post, and found out what the trouble was. The body of the ad was fine... but the headline of the ad said,
"25 Year Old Male Looking for a Roommate (Potentially More)"
In my desire to get potentially more than one roommate I inadvertently turned Craigslist into OkCupid...
Currently Reading: "Hard Boiled Wonderland & The End of the World" by Murakami
Shows: Scrubs, The League, The Office, Family Guy, Newsroom, South Park, Game of Thrones (though I don't like how they differ so much from the books)
Music: Delta Rae, Mumford and Sons, The Black Keys, Raconteurs, Audioslave, Foo Fighters, Rise Against, Of Monsters and Men, Aloe Blacc, Hozier, Lincoln Durham... to name a few
Food: anything, I'm not too picky. I'm actually a bit of an adventurous eater (if it's something I haven't had before, I would be more likely to pick it from a menu).
The short and long of it is, I'm a decent guy who wants to make a real connection with a human being. I might come across as a little unique, with my own way of doing things, but I like that about myself. I'm also looking for someone who is pretty unique herself.
I like someone with the same kind of sense of humor as I do. I want to make you laugh and laugh because of you (and depending on how well we know each other... probably laugh at you from time to time).
So if that sounds like your cup of tea, then I think we should talk.
