What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I asked a friend to check my profile for glaring innaccuracies and she chastised me for neglecting to mention how much fun I am. Maybe she's easy to entertain. Maybe I am amusing. You be the decider.

I'm a professional photographer of 15 years. I'm an RN of 1.5 years. I've been a teacher and a trainer and I love watching the lights turn on. I enjoy watching naive discovery happen. Every professional should learn to be an ameture all over again.

Politically, I'm liberal and I think harmony in a relationship is largely determined by consistent values. Our world views will conflict and collide if you are not LGBT friendly, compassionate towards the poor, unprejudiced towards race ethnicity and religion, critical of consumerism, and able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

I enjoy eating out, movies, travel, theatre and backward summersaults as much as the next guy, but I'm not concerned with the "it" thing. What really matters is that we look forward to being together when the party is over and work starts up again.

In a relationship, I take pleasure in doing the little things together. I turn to you when I need to bounce an idea off of someone, blow off some steam, or ask for advice. I admire a woman who can offer me some wisdom when I'm struggling with a problem. I take pleasure in collaborating on big and small things.

I'm from a family of six kids and we learned to share the hard way;-) We learned to be together and and enjoy the chaos and we learned how to find a quiet place to recover. We learned to enjoy a bit of friendly rivalry. We learned to be slow to offend and quick to forgive (violins playing).

I embrace physical affection and I have a positive attitude about sex.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Collaborating. Problem solving. Cooking. Deciding fast like yesterday. Fixing stuff. Writing. Cardio anything. Photography. Drawing.

I'm not so good at, but enjoy dancing, sewing, and board/card games.

Not giving advice when it is best not to do so.

I don't own a TV, nor do I follow sports. Its a miracle I survive.

Zen Mind Beginner's Mind. I've read more Graham Greene novels than I can remember. Kafka, Kundera, Nabakov, and Salinger. I'm reading Children of the Days by Eduardo Galeano. Its awesome, I'll loan it to you after the third date.

I love the classics like Fellini (subtitles are AOK). Anything by Jim Jarmusc, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was great. Loved it! Charlie Chaplin is amazing. Documentaries and mockumentaries, can't get enough of them. I've recently become a fan of Werner Herzog. is pretty cool. Less politics, more Ted.

Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, Revel, David Sylvian, Savages, Nick Cave, Radiohead, Joan Jett, Charlie Byrd, Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Morrissey (I know...) Bjork, Patricia Barber, The Kills. I play old time banjo.

I love cooking and I can crank it out for large groups. I appreciate eating healthy as a rule, but I believe in moderation in all things, especially in butter. I have a very adventurous pallet. I dare you to dare me to eat it. I recently made palak paneer. I can make it for you if the fourth date goes well.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Just when I thought I couldn't get along without something, I discovered I can.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The best bike route from point A to point wherever.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Exploring, eating, riding a bike, etc. Get tired, cuddle up for a nap, do it again. I love live music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I was married before and I had a daughter who passed away after four heart surgeries. That is a lot of time in the ICU to think about the meaning of life. I guess I have some insight into the situation that I hope to make use of as a nurse.
