My self-summary
I was born (10/18/78), live in Hagerstown, MD, have a 9 year old English Springer Spaniel named Teek (after a character in the Ewoks movie) and a 1 year old King Charles Spaniel named Rocky (after the movie and his father). I graduated from Middletown High School in 1997. I moved to Hagerstown in 2005 from Myersville, MD where I lived since my parents adopted me in 1978. No idea who my birth parents are except my birth name was Joel. Maybe they were big Billy Joel fans? I have a sister who is a few years younger and lives in Florida with her husband.

I am very Liberal and follow politics but as long as you are open-minded when it comes the world you likely will click with me. I consider myself to be Agnostic and don't care if you follow a certain religion but at least know there are many forms of religions out there and please don't try to change my beliefs, act as if your views are above all others. I am a animal lover, especially dogs. I have a very soft spot in my heart for them and to me watching those damn ASPCA ads are worse than any horror movie. I would like to give each and every one of them a home if I could.
What I’m doing with my life
I have been involved in my local music scene since 1999 booking shows and promoting/managing local bands as well so I work at local clubs/bars although the local scene and band I tend to book have hit a dry spell. Sometimes the scene is thriving, sometimes it is now.

I also help my parents take care of my two grandmothers aged 95 and 96. I also am a dog babysitter for my neighbor. Payed to watch them poop! It is very rewarding helping others and makes others in need happy when I can help out so I try and be there for everyone. I sadly lost both grandfathers to Alzheimers in the past ten years and it has only made my family tighter.
I’m really good at
I have a thing for remembering odd information especially involving music, movies, television. I could easily clean up if they brought back that pop culture game show. I am a walking, talking Wikipedia of useless crap!
The first things people usually notice about me
I am quiet. Around people I know I am much more open, very funny and a ball of energy but due to some shady longtime so-called friends and relationships in the past I tend to keep my guard up around new people because I have been used and abused too many times. I guess my close friends would be sorta surprised at how quiet and shy I can be. Once you get to know me you might sometimes miss me being quiet. I am also a pretty unique person as you will read and learn about because i'm into alot of different things that usually dont match. I'm just very open minded.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
MUSIC:
When it comes to music I cant stand today's mainstream music or anything deemed popular by radio/t.v.. Most of the musical artists I listen to have been around at least 15-20 years. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bruce Springsteen and The Clash are my three favorites. I also love old school punk rock and classic rock. The Cure, David Bowie, The Ramones, Misfits (Danzig era), Fugazi, Stiff Little Fingers, The Who, Bob Dylan, Dropkick Murphys, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash, The Pogues, Jesus and Mary Chain, T.Rex, Van Morrison, The Beach Boys, The Doors, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Grateful Dead, Rocket From the Crypt, Street Dogs, The Monkees just to name a few others. Music is so important to me. It is there for you when you need it the most, when you have nobody to turn to and there is music for every mood, every occasion.

MOVIES:
Huge movie fan. I currently own over 1,000 dvds/blu rays. My favorite genre is by far horror movies from the 30's-80's. I often go to horror conventions as well. I also am a HUGE Star Wars fan and have been pretty much my entire life.

Horror: Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Universal Monster movies, Suspiria, Jaws, Fright Night, Halloween series, Evil Dead trilogy, Romero's zombie trilogy, The Exorcist, Gremlins, House of Usher, The Monster Squad, Re-Animator, Hellraiser 1-4, Nightmare on Elm Street series, Friday the 13th series, Phantasm, Poltergiest, The Changeling, The Haunting, Carnival of Souls, New York Ripper, Zombi 2, The Beyond, Horror of Dracula to name a few

Some non-horror favorites: E.T., Rocky, Goodfellas, High Fidelity, American Beauty, Fight Club, Big Fish, Stand By Me, The Outlaw Josey Wales (Clint Eastwood is my favorite actor), The Godfather trilogy, Blazing Saddles, Mystic River, Raging Bull, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Terminator 2, Robocop, Across The Universe, (500) Days of Summer, Willow, Watchmen, The Goonies, See No Evil Hear No Evil, The Wild Bunch, Casino, To Kill A Mockingbird, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Predator, A Clockwork Orange

TELEVISION:
The Walking Dead, Dexter, Weeds, True Blood, Family Guy, Community, WWE, Raising Hope, Orange is the New Black, The Goldbergs, Toy Hunter, Comic Book Men, Pawn Stars, ESPN, NFL Network, Real Time With Bill Maher, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,

BOOKS:
I don't read a lot however I seem toto like to read a lot of biographies. Anthony Kiedis' Scar Tissue and I Slept With Joey Ramone are great. Cash by Johnny Cash is a must read because he led such an amazing life as wellwell. To Kill a Mockingbird, Animal Farm, Frankenstein, Stephen King and of course, Curious George!

SPORTS:
I am a sports fan. HUGE Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Sixers fan along with the Baltimore Orioles.

FOOD:
I eat too much of it, need to loose weight but I love Italian food a lot and a good steak.
The six things I could never do without

Five senses
Loved ones/family/friends
Food (which is good and bad)/water

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, the past, the future etc. Due to setbacks in life i'm not completly where I would like to be but I am happy because I can help take care of those around me. Where the hell did time go. Seems like only yesterday I was a kid and now I am old.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either home or out with friends. Movies, shows etc. Not alot to really do around this area.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well then it would no longer be private if I announced it to the world on here. I am however not ashamed to admit that even after seeing it a million times, I still cry at the end of E.T.. I am man enough to admit that. That movie is so connected to my childhood, the first I saw in the theater too.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–36
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
I'm looking for someone who loves to have fun, has an open mind, loves to act crazy, has a kind heart and doesn't like to use and abuse their friendship or relationships. I have had way too many liars and cheaters in my life so like I said I can be shy. Also the whole one night stand/sex thing isn't something I am looking for anymore. Sex is great however it can be much better with someone you are connected with, attracted to and that's what I want.

Anyways...I don't expect too much out of this but hey, feel free to contact me. Oh and for what it's worth...I do not have a paying account on this website. I have a free profile so if for some reason i'm rated (HAH!) I can't see it. I personally see no use in paying for this site when chances are I wont end up connecting with anyone.
