Describe myself…um okay…here we go! I am a 26 year old scenic painter out of Sacramento but am currently residing in Davis working on a Masters in Scenic Design. I work a lot. Some would call me a workaholic, but I believe that it comes with the territory, when you really really like what you do. I have been working in the theatre for the majority of my adult life; though it can be a giant pain in my ass, I still do what my rewarding and fulfilling work here. As for my personality, I have to say that I am somewhat shy, but once I am comfortable...um, I suppose that I become considerably more outgoing. Here…I will just rattle off some adjectives that I think describe me (How does that sound?). I tend to believe that I am hard working, loyal, artistic, analytical, honest, loves her family and friends, laidback, good listener but sometimes is a little distracted and ADD, and confidently confident...well...most of the time! Oh…and did I mention that I was funny. Well I’m not like Denise Miller funny, but I have more of a Chris Farley “did I hear a niner in there” type of funny. And yes I realize that is a misquote but that is just something you are going to have to deal with.

I suppose, in the end, I am looking for someone who also likes to work but also wants to take time to create a life for themselves outside of work. I would like someone who likes to socialize but prefers a nice meal with friends, card games, puzzles, movie watchin...you get the idea!

I am curently getting my MFA in Scenic Design at UC Davis.

Painting, drawing, drinking beer, working out, watching the Food Network while working out, relaxing in the hottub (I'm sooo good at that), and I guess being a good friend. And yes, I realize how cheesy that last one is!

Work ethic! I love my job and I love to do my job well. I can't help it.

My favorite things include…Underground Art, Anything with Superheroes (Favorite is X-Men), Anything by Joss Whedon, Eddie Izzard, Tenacious D, Flight of the Conchords, The Blood Hound Gang, The Holiday, Army of Darkness, Mixed Nuts, Tommy Boy, etc..

I really enjoy traveling but rarely get the opportunity. My favorite foreign place to visit is Prague. I like to eat out...fancy is nice, but dives are usually just as satisfying. I like to go to chill bars, where you can hang and chat comfortably

As for reading, I read several different comic books, Juxtapoze, High Fructose, American Scenic Design, The Victorian Design Book, and too many plays; I am getting ready to read the Anita Blake Novels if I ever get the time.

I really LOVE comic books. I had always been fascinated with comics because they combined art, superheroes and story telling, but they always intimidated me because I thought that walking into a comic book store was going to be like walking into the record store in High Fidelity. And I always loved X-men because of the cartoon in the 90's but there were so many different comic book story lines that I never knew where to start. So when Joss Whedon started writing the Astonishing X-Men, two of my most favorite things collided and I became hooked on comics. Now I am not even close to an expert in the comic world, but I do love and look forward to them. I don’t know if that places me in the nerd, geek or dork category…but I am willing to chance it!
