My self-summary
Hey Okcupid I'm Justin. Right now I'm trying to just enjoy life and stop worrying about the future so much. I want to travel, go on spontaneous adventures and just try new things like white water rafting, skydiving, or take in an art exhibit.

I know who I am and what I want. I'm the nerd who geeks out over Napoleonic history or DC comics. The guy who gets together with his fraternity to volunteer or support a charity, then go out for drinks afterward. I'm the guy who loves spending the day indoors writing, then stays in all night and keeps writing when I'm on a roll.
What I’m doing with my life
I got my bachelors in Cinema at San Francisco State with focus in screenwriting. Loved every minute of it because now I can write a killer story and have seen way too many amazing old films to count!

Currently working for the state at the Department of Justice which is interesting because I know a lot about gun laws, but don't worry I can't arrest you.
I’m really good at
Writing, pool, getting lost, board games, public speaking, this isn't the right place, cooking, listening, Adobe programs, quoting movies, and where the hell am I?
The first things people usually notice about me
My teeth. They're pretty straight and once I was asked if I had braces when I was younger. Spoiler alert, I didn't. Maybe my glasses, or my hair?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: MO, DGD, Paramore, Modest Mouse, CHVRCHES, Daughter

TV: Game of Thrones, Arrow, The Americans, The Flash, House of Cards

Movies: Star Wars, Ghost in the Shell, Brick, WALL*E, The Girl Who Lept Through Time, Frozen

Books: Classics and Harry Potter
The six things I could never do without
My computer, my car, books, the internet, music, and science fiction movies
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I should write a book about. I have a few ideas but nothing that really stands out. Do I want my first novel just to be a fun entertaining read, or go for something a little more profound? Probably getting ahead of myself thinking I need to write the next Cather and the Rye.

More recently I've been thinking about how long it's going to take me to fold all these cranes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Dinner, sushi/pizza preferably, then maybe a Sac Republic or Kings game, followed up by a drink and maybe some pool at a dive bar
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Years ago I thought it was a good idea to go to an after party the night before I had to interview Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. It was not a good idea...

Also I don't like guacamole so you can have mine.
You should message me if
You're looking for a well rounded guy who wouldn't mind having someone along for whatever adventures the future has in store and is definitely open to something more serious with the right person.

You're passionate about something and want to tell me all about it over brunch. Or if you want to learn how to play pool, but you have to teach me something in return!
