I'm far more awkward in electronic messages than I actually am face to face. I haven't figured out how to fix that yet. I've been told that I'm funny, kind and surprisingly nimble. I've been refinishing vintagey type things lately - mostly furniture. I've got a couple projects done with a bunch left to do. Meeting someone that also enjoys doing that sort of thing would be brilliant. Not required by any means, but it certainly would be cool. I'm a musician at heart. I enjoy good design and wish I had a talent for it. I'm a father of two awesome boys who take up quite a bit of my time. They have a mother, I am in no way looking for another one. I'm a happy, well-adjusted, low-drama dude looking for some companionship.

Trying to better myself professionally and personally. Raising two little guys. Having fun.

Music type stuff. Cooking a great steak. Being patient. Making people laugh.

I don't have much time to read, but I mostly enjoy non-fiction.

Movies: Shaun of the dead, hot fuzz, drowning Mona (I'm one of 6 people that love this movie I think). Directors: Christopher Guest, Guy Ritchie, Christopher Nolan. I'm not a big movie guy.

Recent Slacker/Spotify faves: the national, washed out, sleigh bells, chairlift, Peter Bjorn and John, arcade fire, Beirut, Bon iver, broken social scene, yeasayer, young the giant, grizzly bear and fleet foxes. The new Daft Punk album is killer as is Timberlake's.

All time faves: radiohead, the flaming lips, the brothers groove, knee deep shag, the Beatles, Paul Simon, among many others.

I love NPR, PRI, PRX, etc. My favorite podcasts are: this American life, freakonomics, radiolab, 99 percent invisible, and wait wait....

TV (or Netflix): archer, arrested development, Seinfeld, portlandia, it's always sunny..., Louie, 30 rock, the daily show

I love all kinds of food. Except fish. I don't like fish. Shellfish I like. Fish without shells, I don't.

The kids, music, public radio, friendship, coffee and....food. I phoned that last one in.

Anything and everything. Seriously, I can't turn my brain off sometimes.

Going out, staying in - wherever the night leads. Never really typical, but rarely super-crazy.

I'm divorced. It's a matter of public record, so I suppose it's not really that private, but I can't think of anything else.
