Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been in and around New York most of my life. Spent a couple
years in DC before coming to my senses.
I try my best to make the most out of life and though I like to
make plans, it's fun to be spontaneous from time to time.
I'm a bit of a science and philosophy geek, which is something
people usually find surprising.
If I could be any animal, I'd be a hippopotamus.
I'm an ENTP - I see a lot of people listing this, so hey, why not?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a recovering finance guy who left the industry to pursue a
I feel lucky to say that, after a lot of time and effort, I'm in a
place where I'm really happy professionally. I have an interesting
job that I'm excited about and I work on a couple fun side projects
outside of my 9-to-5.
I like to stay productive, but definitely know how to have a good
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making conversation - about the inane, the serious, the profound,
and everything in between.
Making people laugh and finding humor in just about anything.
Coining phrases and making up acronyms on the fly. As odd as that
I don't like to brag, but I might be the greatest Wii Tennis player
on Earth. I'm pretty damn good at Mario Kart, too.
Taking things in stride - it takes a lot to really rattle me.
I like a nice healthy debate about things from time to time. As
long as it's all in good fun, of course.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I tend to dress up regardless of the occasion. It's fun to throw on
a blazer and look sharp whether you're going to a business meeting,
the bar, or brunch.
I'm confident and assertive, though subdued enough to put people at
...and my beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
TV Shows: Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, X Files, The
Blacklist, Law & Order (the original is still the best, folks),
Movies: 2001: A Space Odyssey and Inception are my favorites.
Primer, Terminator 2, Edge of Tomorrow, Robocop, The Shining, Fight
Club, The Matrix
Music: I love french-inspired house music. Daft Punk, Lifelike,
Russ Chimes, Fred Falke, Justice, Goldroom, Penguin Prison. The
kind of stuff that has a real purposeful, driving feel to it.
Books: Michael Lewis' "The Big Short" and "Boomerang" are must
reads. Tim Ferriss' "The Four Hour Work Week" is also fantastic.
"Slaughterhouse Five" by Vonnegut is a real trip. Generally, I
prefer to read non-fiction.
Food: I'm open to a lot of things, though I'm not much of a sushi
fan (thankfully udon exists.) I live for a good burger.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A blazer and a great pair of jeans
Chocolate chip cookies
The New York Giants
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I'm headed and where I've been. How to live a life I'm most
interested in living. The mind-blowing size and age of the
universe. What I'm doing Saturday night. Whether or not I need to
pick up milk.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Taking it easy. On Saturday, however, I can be found out to dinner
and heading to bars with my closest friends. It can be a total
dive, a hotel bar, somewhere in between. I'm pretty flexible.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
...I watched all of True Blood. I know, it's terrible. I'm pretty
sure everyone involved in the show knew it was terrible. But, I
just couldn't help myself.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You like to have fun and don't mind getting dressed up from time to
time. If you aren't someone who lets a relationship define them. I
value my independence and hope you do as well.
Last, but not least, If you are a sports fan (or will at least
tolerate my love of the Giants), that's also a plus.
