I like distopian/scifi books (think Brave New World or 1984). I'm a fan of Dan Brown's books, as well as the Lord of the Rings series and Harry Potter. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time for recreational reading nowadays.

I like most mindless guy movies (action, explosions, sex, etc.) but it's hard to pick favorites. The Avengers, V for Vendetta, the Dark Knight, the Boondock Saints, Serenity, and the
Matrix are just a few honorable mentions.

I like scifi shows, although most of the good ones aren't on any more. Shows like Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, and Star Trek were great. And who can forget Firefly? Alas, scifi nowadays consists of shiny vampires and paranormal bullshit. I've had to resort to watching dramas like NCIS and House. Don't get me wrong, those shows are great, but they are seriously lacking in spaceships.

So I recently started watching Doctor Who on Netflix. Where has this been all my life?

Rock of any variety, though I mostly listen to alternative. A few honorable mentions are Muse, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, 3 Doors Down, AWOLNATION, the Killers, Disturbed... I could go on. I'll listen to most anything so long as it isn't rap or country. I tend to find one song or artist and listen to it over and over until I can't stand it anymore. Currently the song is Sail by AWOLNATION, but that will likely have changed before you read this.

Basically if it's bad for me I find it delicious. I have a special weekness for Mexican food, and on an unrelated note I also love Taco Bell. In the event of the apocalypse, I'm pretty sure I could survive on peanut butter. I also like Italian food, and, like most guys, I'm happy with a burger and fries. Buffalo Wild Wings are my drug of choice; their chili con queso dip is better than crack (I can only assume).

It didn't ask, but I game more than I read, watch tv, or listen to music, so I'll tell you a bit about what I like. Like most guys I'll play a mindless shooter like CoD or Halo; I was really big into Halo 2 back in the day. Maybe I've grown out of them, or maybe I'm just tired of being cursed at by twelve year olds. I mostly enjoy a game with a good plot. The Mass Effect franchise was fantastic, as most stuff from Bioware is; Dragon Age, and KotOR, just to name a few. I just finished Bioshock Infinite, and am absolutely enamored with it.

I always enjoy a good strategy game, like Civilization, or RTS games, but I like to play at my own pace, so I rarely play them online. I've never been a big fan of MMOs.

I'm always up for chatting about games, so feel free to message me about them.
