Hey there, I'm Mark. I'm a huge nerd and proud of it. I love all things related to science, technology, computers, games, scifi, etc. You'd be more likely to find me browsing the internet or playing video games with friends than at the bar or club. Don't get me wrong, I like spending a night on the town with friends, but I'm perfectly content huddled under a blanket watching Netflix, which, I'll admit, is something of an addiction.
I was at college at the University of Michigan for a while studying astrophysics, but it turned out not to be what I expected at all. I went expecting to learn about all the wonders and secrets of the universe. I wanted to finally get the answers to the questions I always pondered whilst staring up at the night sky. Turns out astronomy/astrophysics is just a heck of a lot of math and more questions. On the practical side, I didn't see it as something that I could do for a living either, so I left U of M, and am now going to school in Grand Rapids for a degree in programming / computer science. Bonus if you get to know me: free computer repair.
In what little free time I have, I like to watch Netflix (mostly scifi shows, Dr Who is my current favorite), browse the internet, tinker with my computer, play a few video games, or just kick back and relax. I head out with friends from time to time, but I've never been one to plan social outings - I tend to just spontaneously call up friends and go do something, which is getting more and more difficult now that we all have these pesky things called jobs.
