While I’m mostly a realist, I’m a pretty down to earth, chill guy. However, I’m definitely on the shy side. People who have gotten to know me know me as a pretty nice guy whose nice to talk to about just about anything. I’m not as socially awkward and shy as I used to be because of life experience, but I still have a ways to go. I don’t have a lot of similar hobbies to others my age, so I’ve always been a bit different. But I like that honestly. I like being different than most other people. Apparently I smile a lot. Maybe it’s because it doesn’t take much to make me happy. It could also be how fortunate I feel to have the few close friends I’ve gained through the years and my family supporting me all the way. I am very close to both.
To the less serious side of the profile, I had a WIDE array of hobbies. One side of me is really into participating and watching sports. For example, I ran cross country and distance track competitively for nine years. I still like to run to stay and shape and relax. (what a paradox…) I am extremely uncoordinated, but I enjoy playing pickup versions of just about anything. I am competent at tennis and Ultimate Frisbee. I have been a Butler Bulldogs basketball fan since around the age of five when I went to my first game at Hinkle Fieldhouse. I was a member of the Dawg Pound at Butler, and plan to go to as many games as I can afford next year and beyond. Maybe I’ll buy season tickets one day.
On the opposite end of my hobbies, you will discover that I am really nerdy. From the age of 5 I have been a video game fanatic. That was the year when I received my Nintendo 64 for Christmas. What a wonderful year. Nintendo is still my favorite company as I love Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem, Donkey Kong, Smash Bros, and the other Nintendo franchises more than almost any other series out there. I’m not too shabby of a Smash Bros player. Also, I recently re-picked up anime after a five year drought. I like several anime genres, but the dark, gloomy, psychological ones are my favorite type. Some of my favorites are Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Psycho Pass, Deadman Wonderland, Monster, Future Diary, Claymore, and several others I am forgetting.
The past two years, I have gotten into voice acting and voiceovers after a fun group project in college where we had to dub a movie or cartoon. People told me they liked my voice, so I started picking it up as a hobby. I think I’ve improved a ways since I first started and I have fun whenever I do it until my throat starts hurting or my family or roommates think I’m insane for screaming in strange voices in my room or the basement. That part of it is kind of fun too actually… If I really like you, I might share a few of my past projects with you.
A few final hobbies I can think of are racing, guitar playing, and movies/tv. I’ve been going to racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for half of my life, and it’s become a beloved family tradition. May is one of my favorite months of the year because of it. Indycar is definitely my favorite. Go Ed Carpenter! I picked up guitar two years ago and…… I’m still pretty mediocre at it. I can play some basic stuff, but nothing too complex. My lack of singing ability kind of hurts here too… but it’s still fun to screw around with.
I like all types of movies, some of my favorites being The Dark Knight Trilogy, Bond films, Terminator 2, Bourne Trilogy, The Prestige, Inception, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pixar movies, Kick-ass, Tarantino films, and a whole lot more. TV wise I liked the first season of Heroes and sort of the second season. It was awful after that. I’m currently enjoying catching up on The Following, The Blacklist, Gotham, and Hannibal.
Now, why am I here? I would love to make some new friends. You can never have too many friends! While finding some news friends to hang out with is a goal, I would really like to find a girl I could fall into a long term relationship with. I’m not into hookups or short flings unlike a lot of guys my age. I’m looking for the real thing. I’m looking for a girl who will always be herself and is kind to others. Accepting me for who I am is also important. Despite being shy, I am open up real easily once I gain a basic trust. I’ll talk about anything. I just might need a little push.
This was probably far too long of a profile description, but I’m not feeling like shortening it. So, there’s a basic of me. If you want to chat, shoot me a message. I’ll almost always respond whenever I have a free moment. Thanks for reading for this long! =)
