My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
// I am currently in a relationship, as of 9/26/2014, with someone I thoroughly wouldn't have expected to be in a relationship with. I may get on here occasionally to answer more questions and fix some things about my preferences and beliefs as they change, but I am no longer looking for a relationship. If that changes, which it hopefully won't, I will alter my profile again. If you'd like to be friends, feel free to shoot me a message. //

I am a nerd, in just about every aspect of the word's meaning.

I had my first computer since I was about 3, I enjoy playing video and computer games an awful lot, and reading. I used to read a lot more than I do, but I still read a fair bit. I enjoy science fiction and fantasy for the most part.

I also enjoy anime, British comedy panel shows, anything to do with learning how the universe works, and a few American cartoons.

I run tabletop games. These are like Dungeons and Dragons, (I run that as well) but it goes much farther than that. I've even designed my own tabletop role playing games based on things me and my friends enjoy.

I go to conventions, as a matter of fact I LOVE going to conventions. It usually doesn't matter what the theme of the con is, I'm fairly open minded about hobbies and entertainment. Even when there's a more serious topic the con is focused on I enjoy going, so long as I am familiar with the subject.

I have an absurd infatuation with science, predominantly physics. I find myself in discussions about theoretical physics frequently.

About the only thing that's moves me away from being a traditional nerd is despite the fact that I am a bit socially awkward I seem to have acquired a decent number of friends that I hang out with on a relatively regular basis. But they're nerds too, so I guess that negates that bit of normality.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working on a computer science degree at the University of Texas in Arlington. This is at great issue, because I am also working 40 hours a week in order to afford classes, since I'm not currently eligible for financial aid.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
To be honest, I don't like stating that I'm good at anything. I can always improve what skills I have, and I enjoy learning new skills. I have certainly learned a good amount of things but I don't want to say I am 'really good' at something, because in comparison with the rest of the world that would be a cocky thing to do.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People usually say something about my facial hair, other than that I can't say for sure.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I have a penchant for fantasy and science fiction books, though I have read other genres and enjoyed them as well. I keep about the same preference with movies, while adding comedy to that list. When it comes to shows it becomes a little limited, I watch anime and informative shows like 'Mythbusters' and 'How its made'. I typically don't have a preference on food, I suppose I enjoy Italian the most.

There is something I need to add here. Maybe a few things.
I would call these shows, movies, comics, etc. past obsessions that bleed into my daily humor and conversation occasionally.
If I am currently particularly involved with them I will place an * next to them.

Outlaw Star
The Wheel of Time series *
Piers Anthony's Incarnations series
Final Fantasy saga
RomComs (Princess bride esp.)
Star Trek
Star Wars
Hunger Games
Avatar the last Airbender
Homestuck. *
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Aside from the necessities of life, I would have to say Friends, Family, Computers, Humor, Goals or a Vehicle. A little concise, but I think that settles that in no particular order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I daydream, often I find myself either making plans for the first civilian space program, or working on a game concept for some friends...

And Homestuck.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
typically out with friends. I hang out with people, play games with them, and occasionally go ghost hunting. Nothing serious, just kind of for something different to do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a 26 year old stuffed teddy bear of Winnie the Pooh with a handmade shirt from my Grandmother.

we share any interests. I suppose that's as good a way to end that sentence as any other. But really, if you find anything to be curious about I don't mind chatting. I'm open to talk to anyone.
