How can one be expected to summarize our specific charactistics
that make us unique and special individuals? It sure proves to be a
challenging task, because we don't want to give too much incite,
but also want to give an impressive sample. Some people don't want
to appear too odd or unique, but no one is interested in ordinary.
At first, I feel inclined to list my personal strengths that define
me: intelligent, conversant, talented, confident, resourceful,
multifaceted, athletic, and gifted but these are all adjectives of
one word and I will use that word to summarize me as an individual.
I consider myself to be extremely versatile. I can talk complex
social issues with college professors over wine, run 3 miles faster
than anyone over 200 lbs, and give an in depth synopsis of every
mammal in the animal kingdom. I'm as excited to go to a museum or
exhibit as I am for a sporting event. I'm comfortable in any social
situation, can converse with anyone, and my positive energy makes
others feel comfortable in my presence. I pride myself on having a
varied array of interests, and love to learn about and try new
things or things I am unfamiliar with.
The charactistic I possess that I am most proud of is loyalty. I
have never cheated on a girlfriend, a friend has never abandoned me
due to my behavior, and the people in my life trust me without
question. Lying is often the easier way out, but since I am really
bad at it, and it eats my conscious, I avoid it all together.
Sometimes my brutal honesty can hurt, but the truth is always
respected.
As you may be able to tell, I have a high perception of myself.
Although, I am not Superman or Jesus. I have a number of weaknesses
and faults that also define me. I can be arrogant and very stubborn
at times. At times, I talk too much and fail to listen. I can be
absent minded, and fail to realize consequences. I have many other
faults and weaknesses that I am currently working on, and always
appreciate when someone can tell me I'm wrong, or I lack something.
