This summer I'm working on starting a small band to play swing music and doing everything I can to help bring vintage swing dancing to the Reno area. Besides that, I plan to spend my summer in the Eastern Sierra hiking and climbing.
I'm very open to most music, especially if it contains some creativity and/or heart. I'm not really into Top 40 or modern country or other radio ready music - it just tends to be too formulaic for me. I've had a long standing obsession with Brazilian music, and I love swing and jazz from every era. I also enjoy rock of various sorts, electronic music, Latin music, and most everything else, as long as it has some creativity or emotion to it, or it makes people dance.
I'm not really a huge TV person but I've been known to Netflix binge on occasion.
I love most types of Asian cuisines, especially Thai, and anything spicy. I have a high BTU wok burner now and am getting more and more proficient at using it without catching myself and those around me on fire. I love really good pizza, wings, good beer, sushi, BBQ, or pretty much anything that someone puts some passion and time into perfecting. I would might admit that I'm kind of a food/beer/coffee snob, if you got me kind of tipsy first...

Penguins... they're just really awesome. I feel better living in a world where penguins exist.
