Did you know that OkCupid admitted awhile back they have manipulated the match percentages between profiles as a way to test out just how people respond to one another based on something such as how well they are supposedly matched. You could be looking at my profile right now and it might say we're at a 90% positive match rate and yet we could be each other's arch enemies and not even know it. Or it might say "ya'll got issues" and we could actually be the perfect match. How crazy is that? It certainly makes me wish meeting people in the real world was much easier than being on a site that actually manipulates the data it shows to it's users. But with work and everything else going on in my life, such as my sculpting business blowing up on me this year (that was actually last year) and being overwhelmed with orders, it just gets to be too hard to find the time to actually get out and mingle with others. And I'm sure many others on here feel the same way.
I have many interests and enjoy doing many things but the one constant interest in my life has always been Art. I remember being in Kindergarten and being asked what I wanted to be when I grew up and same as many other kids I said artist, but I meant it. I've been sculpting since I was twelve and drawing for as long as I could hold a pencil according to my mother. I grew up in a creative family and enjoy art of most any sort, but lately it's primarily pop culture art that I appreciate most in this world. Other than my family and my pudgy cat Milo that is.
I'd love to meet someone who loves similar things. I must say my favorite types of people is the closet geek.... or just all out geeky. You know who you are. If you have something in your life you're passionate about to the point that you don't care what others think of you because of it then you're probably the type of person I would enjoy being around. Especially if that passion has to do with some form of creativity. I'd love to meet other sculptors or concept artists, painters, photographers, writers, fashion designers... just somebody with a creative interest in something. If this is you, even if you wouldn't be romantically interested, I'd love to meet you or at least chat and maybe talk shop and see if there could be anything we could possibly create together. This isn't to say creativity is the only thing I'm looking for in somebody, but it would be a definite plus. Not a necessity though.
