My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am at the point in my life where I am looking to settle down and find someone to share my life with. My bar star days are long ago although I do enjoy going to a pub every once in a while. My career has dominated my life to this point and I am now trying to focus on the rest of my life.

I just moved to Red Deer and am looking to meet some people.

I am laid back and mild tempered. I am reliable and a great listener. I like my sports, watching and playing. I'm always up for a movie and I enjoy cooking as long as I don't have to do the dishes.

I like to travel and usually go on one big road trip every summer. I love going for drives in my Jeep, especially if I can take the top off and enjoy the sun and the mountains. I want to go over seas, there are so many places I want to go: Ireland, Scottland, Rome, Israel, Germany, Australia . . . the list goes on and on. One day it will happen, I swear.

Family is important to me and I'd like to start my own. I'm looking for someone with similar interests, but also someone who will push me to be better.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now? I am sports reporter, 12 years into my career. I am now looking to fill in the rest of the blanks.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, it is my career after all. I also like to think I'm pretty good in the kitchen, at the very least I am not afraid in the kitchen. I am also a good listener, and I think I have a very good sense of humour. I am good at thinking on my feet and not panicking.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea. You'll have to let me know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: I highly recommend "One Last time" by Mike Royko, if you can find it. He was a columnist from Chicago and this is basically his best of, in chronological order. A very interesting read cover to cover, it becomes record of American history between 1960 and 1990. Very cool. Not big on the fiction, more of a non-fiction reader, although I am working my way through Game of Thrones right now, currently on the second book.

Movies: Gladiator, Fight Club, Ghostbusters, Field of Dreams, Saving Private Ryan, Die Hard, The Hangover, Old School, Zoolander, Boon Dock Saints. I like a lot of action. I like some comedy and drama. I like movies that make me think but I also like movies that I can veg out with.

Shows: House, How I met your mother, Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement, Law and Order, Rome, The Wire, Mad Men, Breaking Bad.

Music: Ben Harper, Garth Brooks, Jars of Clay, Third Day, Brad Paisley, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, Alabama, the Beatles, Billy Talent, The City Harmonic, NEEDTOBREATHE, Mumford and sons, Rolling Stones, Corb Lund, Dierks Bentley, Our Lady Peace, Smashing Pumpkins, Switchfoot and Nickleback (I am not afraid to admit it). Really my scope of music is pretty large. All depends on the mood. I'm good with country, rock, classical, just not big on a lot of the top 40 pop or rap. I'm pretty easy going though when it comes to music.
