My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I thrive on challenge and I've found the greatest satisfaction and joy (for me) has come as a result of overcoming obstacles and growing, both personally and professionally. That's sounds corny, I guess, but it's the truth.

I'm easy-going to a fault, and lean more towards the pragmatic than the passionate.

I hate leaning on others and accepting help. At the same time I go out of my way to help people whenever I can. I think I do this out of some sort of favor-collecting psychopathy, but who can say?

I've made a living in NYC from the things I loved growing up. I really enjoy what I do and spend too much time working.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a Southern California transplant, formerly employed at a digital forensics lab, now a contract coder making video games for a living.

For many years I also played saxophone professionally in an assortment of bands that play locally and abroad.

So that's me, a digital forensic-ing, jazz saxophone gig-ing, video game maker. Points for originality, I hope?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Computers. Music.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I couldn't say. Bald head?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

As far as reading goes I'll pick just about anything up. I tend to have to read very dry comp sci stuff for work so I usually compensate with the literary equivalent of popcorn.

Musically, I'm down with anything and everything good, and lately that's been Flying Lotus, early 2000s Herbie Hancock, and always always John Coltrane. The SOULECTION radio channel on SoundCloud has definitely gotten a lot of play... I have a preference for jazz and hip-hop but I'm definitely open.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
70s modal power jazz.
Amazon Prime
COFFEE (never iced)
Car
Internet
Gym
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The finer points of honking a metal stick in front of others. Abstracting my existence until I blow my mind.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Cooling out after the work week, preferably at a bar. Checking in with my musician friends that are back from tour.
