Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am INTJ. With all the issues associated. C'est la vie.
I enjoy complex, complicated topics to discuss, but I do not want
that in my personal life. If it is not on paper, it should be
simple, uncomplicated. Granted, that is not what life is like, but
it is an ideal to work toward. Even the most complex problem is
just a collection of less complicated issues.
I spent a few years in the military, then used the GI bill to go
back to college. After graduating (twice) I found a job. Not one
that I love, but it is not bad.
I am a single parent...usually. She is 20, so there are occasional
bouts of insanity where she thinks she actually knows more than I
do... Fortunately, they are relatively rare.
I believe that religion, spirituality, or whatever terms one uses
for such concepts are best defined by the individual themselves. I
do not denigrate any given religion, I just know that none of them
are for me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working. Trying to run a small business, work full time, plus the
military one weekend a month. It can be hectic, but I still find
time for me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading profiles more than once. I generally read a profile several
times over a couple of days/weeks before deciding to actually
write. Read a few times... but I only write once.
The first things people usually notice about me

Not really sure. I will have to ask...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read fantasy/science fiction mostly. I enjoy some urban fiction
(Butcher, Hamilton, Estep) but there are just too many, and they
seem redundant. I have started reading space based sci fi.
I listen to a decent variety of music. Mainly alternative, with
some 80's and 90's (more 90's), some country, and classical. Not
very many songs make my list.
Food is one of the few things I enjoy in this life. While usually
it is just a necessary evil, there are times when a meal can be a
true experience. I enjoy cooking, but I have grown annoyed with
cooking for one. I also hate cleaning, hence the fact that I seldom
cook a decent sized meal. I will try almost any kind of food, if
given the reason to do so. While I enjoy food, there is really
nothing specific that I enjoy to the exclusion of others. However,
I don't eat a very spicy diet: I prefer flavor to burn.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Something new to read
Something old to read
Good food, good friends, good conversation
....not quite six...or more than depending on your perspective...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever is on talk radio/NPR. I go back and forth while at work.
The same music over and over is OK once or twice a week, but not
Maybe I am too honest in my profile. Maybe my capacity for
deception (self, and otherwise) is not high enough. I wonder if I
should adjust some of the 'facts' in my profile...
Why so many of us on here have graduate degrees, and whether that
piece of paper has any bearing on being here in the first
Lastly, why so many women don't want kids...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Being a homebody. That is the typical friday night. I try to get
out on occasion, but they are few and far between. Plus, I work
most weekends now, so Friday is just another night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My level of privacy does not have any grey area. I am willing to
discuss almost anything. Those few things (and they are very few)
that are private will remain so.
But... for those of you that hate the "I'll tell you in person"
answer or some incarnation of it...
Occasionally, I scan profiles on here just reviewing profiles with
higher match percentages. I figure if you have at least a 90%
match, you must be pretty interesting.

If intelligent conversation about any topic is acceptable, even if
the topic is one that you know little about. If electronics are
tools and aids, not lifestyles in and of themselves. If you realize
that a person's 'flaws' don't define them, rather, they just help
describe. If you wonder what's the point of success if you have no
one to share it with. If you read all this way, why not...?
