Upon seeing how the mobile app works, I'll add a small blurb here.
My name's Allen. I am currently 25 winters, 5'5" tall, and live in
Emporia, KS. I drink whiskey and beer on occasion, and also have
picked up smoking a pipe every now and again.
I am a major dork. I don’t mean that I just watch Star Wars and enjoy it, I mean that I had a craft-foam Master Chief (Halo) costume that I made, and I would wear it around Emporia often. I go out at night to football fields and lightsaber fight. I dress frequently like it's a Renaissance Festival, I can quote most of the Lord of the Rings, and I play several videogames. We’ll touch on that later.
Aside from being a dork/nerd, I am an artist. I mainly do engravings, drawings, paintings and costume/prop design, but I have also done metal working, sculpture, and jewelry making. I greatly enjoy showing off my artwork, and also enjoy making things for my friends and loved ones.
Touching back to video games, they are my main hobby. I am honestly seeking a gamer, though someone who would be happy cuddling on a couch and simply watching would also be highly desirable. It’s not so much about the games as it is the time together. However, for the interested gamers, I have a diverse interest in genres and titles. I play Halo, Assassin’s Creed, Battlefield (on rare occasion,) Rock Band, Left 4 Dead, Fable and the Elder Scrolls series. I am mostly a Halo fan, and have gone to the release of every Halo game since 3 in costume. While it’s not a video game, I also enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons. I also own a Nintendo 64, and enjoy totally winning at Mario Kart on Rainbow Road.
I am also big on watching movies and TV shows that I have on DVD. I enjoy nothing more than cuddling on a couch or my bed (if the TV in the living room is being used,) and watching movies on a lazy afternoon. I speak in quotations, and will quote movies randomly and somewhat frequently. I do curb this habit if my company has not seen the movie. I do quote even when alone.
I love Renn Fairs, and go to them when possible. More so now, in fact, because I've officially gotten a job at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Now I work with Wildman Drinking horns, selling both drinking and sounding horns. I could spend days there, though I have a feeling that would also come with several hundred dollars.
I listen to my music loud, and sing in the car. Even if the song's in a foreign language; sometimes I end up learning the words, but not knowing what they mean exactly lol.
To give greater detail on the "Religion: Other and very serious about it," please don't think me the zealot. I am a Pagan (Germanic (includes Norse)/Celtic/Slavic,) and while my faith is a very big part of who I am, what I do and how I see the world, I never push it on others. I answer questions with respect openly, but I am strongly against badgering someone to convert. However, after having encountered far too much conflict, I would strongly prefer either a Pagan or someone who is a soft Agnostic or Atheist. (Soft meaning able to tolerate other religions.)
As a shock, my "Personality" section lists me as being moderately "worse mannered." This actually isn't the case, I have very good manners. It's likely judging on my opinions when laid bare, but I am more than capable of acting civilly both in public and at home. My opinions are my own, and I respect when they are not shared.
