My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Looking to connect with a woman who is casual, not too busy, feminine, somewhat humorous, playful, and perhaps adventurous. I dread the interview-interrogation routine, and will not do so. Who am I as a character? Generally open minded, relaxed, easy going, rational.
I can't read minds, so feelings and thoughts need to be made clear to me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am looking for a small comminuty, village, town, city that is pretty much self-sustaining. I like to avoid what American suburbia has become - a motorized rat race, with real supercharged racing vehicles for every little thing. I like quiet, and simplicity. I am almost a gosh darn Quaker these days. Any like minded women out there? Hello?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have a healthy imagination, and try to see things and ideas from several points of view. I write pretty well: fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, essays, verse. Authored four researched history publications, and one novel. I also write screenplays (so far unproduced, movie scripts). My pen name here is "Jack Emerson."
The first things people usually notice about me

People think I look smart. Physically, I feel I am in the right proportion of height to weight - 5'10" high and 170 lbs as weight.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Too many to mention right now. Generally like most of Kurt Vonnegut, for his humor and insight. I re-read "1984" recently, and it scared the heck out of me - the complete totalitarian system that crushes freedom and individuality. On the other end, I recently read "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" for the 1st time, and think it's grand well written easy to read book by Frank Baum.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My health - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual.
My sense of humor. This is five things.
YOU - an interested and interesting woman are my Sixth.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think about why America seems to be going to heck. As an Independent thinker, I am bewildered why anyone can be a Democrat or Republican, as each only represents 1/3rd of Americans. I think every law should be approved by a majority of citizens, not politicians. I think our Republic (representative government) has failed, and it's time for direct Democracy on all issues. . I also think about imaginative and perhaps entertaning stories.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either out at an event, or involved in some project. I don't watch much TV. While everyone in this country seems to love the football noise, Jerry freaking Springer, or News-Propaganda, it's not for me.
Right now, I am pretty single, and always try for pleasurable female company.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can easily live without having dogs and cats, and other "captive animals." Confined within a human liviing spaces (especially in cities) they are unsantiary, annoying and expensive. What do you get in return? How about mauled furntiture, soiled carpets, extra food expenses, medical bills, barking, clawing...YUCK!
Also - HOARDERS of every piece of crap from your previous life. It's not necessary.

Right now I am in the Hudson Valley region of New York State. Scenic and interesting as this region is, Northeast bitter winters and iffy climate are no longer for me! Would be nice if such a woman was casual, relaxed, humorous and would like to share a new life in a new mutually likeable Winter-Warm place. NOTE: I am not wealthy, but somehow manage to get along.
