I am a retired mechanic/machinist/welder/toolmaker, financially secure and debt free living in a house w/yard, small vegetable garden, & shop. In youth, worked agriculture and cattle so have a strong work ethic. (Sometimes you gotta' get behind a mule in the mornin' and plow). A veteran (U.S. Marines). A recovering single father. I enjoy motorcycle touring/camping, attending vintage American motorcycle events and RVing. Also enjoy The Renaissance Faires, High Sierra Music Festivals, and Little Feat concerts.
Clean, organized, and a GENTLEMAN with manners, etiquette, & propriety. After the war (didn't mind gettin' shot at, just the thought of gettin' hit that bothered me), was a saddle tramp, pirate, bootlegger. and rounder, lucky to be alive. I have rode a crooked road. Possess archaic skills. Am now a sedate, old, fat man :-). Still young for my age. An experienced traveler. Enjoy yard sailing. "Far Side" sense of humour.
Much like the Cat, very aware with the same empathy. Cats have proven to be the best friends (because I can open a can, keep the potty box fresh and the water station clean and full).
My friends are all skilled craftsmen/artisans. Entrepreneurs, employed, or retired. We are like a tribe of scattered gypsies who gather variously on occasion. We enjoy meeting around a fire at camp to eat, drink, and be merry, sing and tell true lies.

Now that I have recently retired, try to catch up on things I could not do while running hard to raise kids and make a living. Not "just tryen' to get laid", but seeking adventurous, mature LADY who knows manners, etiquette, & propriety for quality companionship. Not "slippin' into darkness". Skating away on the thin ice of a new day. Spent youth thinking the road goes on forever and the party never ends but now runnin' out of road, and runnin' out of breath.

Toot, toot......Building and riding motorcycles. Have two now, a 1945 Indian military Chief, and a 1936 Indian Chief chopper. These are my art forms (sculptures). Owned since 1964. Have won many trophies.
Have been elected to board of supervisors - VietNam Veterans of Ventura County. Elected to Run Coordinator of A.B.A.T.E., locals #13 & #42. Appointed Field Events chairman for first couple Toys for Tots/Goody's for Grunts in Ventura. Had to give all up to focus on raising kids.
Have studied and practiced Karate and never felt better then.
My dwelling & shop are clean.
Can write in runes.
Can BBQ in the rain and like to cook in a cast iron dutch oven.
Am an experienced rain rider.
I keep enough water, food, propane, and ammunition on board to last about a month. Resourceful and self-reliant. Resilient. Possess good survival skills.
I possess the knowledge to take rocks from the ground and use fire to create metals that I can form and carve to do my will.
I can quit tobacco any time i i want to , and have done so twice in my life for years at a stretch. Circumstance draws me back in because it is therapeutic and enjoyable. A combat veteran and motorcycle rider will probably die from something else first anyway (goin' to hell in a hand bucket. but at least enjoyin' the ride). If you are worth being with, and it offends you, I can quit again.

A canteen for water, a machete for firewood and a weapon, and a poncho for shelter. There are only two handicaps, being blind or not being able to keep a straight thought. Any thing else can be overcome with the right attitude. Because of the men who died on the beach, I can vote.

When I am not out on the road, am in my shop listening to KHUM (radio without the rules) which can be picked up on computer through streem guys, heart & soul of Humboldt, or gdradio.net, and having a few beers. It is when I am most creative. Also enjoy open mic nights at local coffee houses or live theater plays. Sometimes enjoy lectures by Dr. lawrence Krauss, Dr. Michio Kaku or Dr. Niel deGrasse Tyson on YouTube.
