I am gesticulative, enigmatic, and pensive.
My Self-Summary
Is it considered ok to label oneself "Awesome" under their
self-summary? Probably not...
Luckily, I'm more of a dictionary of other intriguing, but more
self-effacing, words. For example, I'm nonchalant but excitable. I
can be verbose then laconic. I'm both enigmatic and easily-read. I
suppose what I'm saying is that I'm inconsistent and, with that in
mind, completely human.
Now, don't mind me, I just have to report to the hive mind that I
successfully infiltrated a human social network. Oh shi...did I
just type that?
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a wayward student of interactivity. I enjoy writing and reading
because I love to use my imagination. But I found that writing,
though amazing in being able to influence people, albeit briefly
(generally speaking, of course), was too one sided. That's why I
chose video games, my lifelong hobby and passion, as my creative
outlet and future career.
I’m really good at
I can tear through a novel like a motherfucker. That sentence was
constructed using the Samuel L. Jackson method of hyperbole and I
think the man is on to something.
I'm also good at video games, bowling, getting invested in movies,
taking the time to understand people and objects, listening,
solving problems, doing silly things in and around water and
perceiving.
The first things people usually notice about me
Everything I do is "big." I laugh loudly, I make excessively broad
gestures, and I'm just a big guy in general. So, yes, people tend
to notice that I can be larger than life.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Song of Ice and Fire series, Ender's game, Lord of the
Rings, The Long Halloween, First four books of Dark Tower
saga.
Movies: Fifth Element, Dark Knight, Leon The Professional, Legend
of the Drunken Master, The Royal Tenenbaums.
Music: The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Strokes,
Radiohead.
Food: Sweet baked goods! Oh, and pizza.
The six things I could never do without
My brain.
A good book.
My iPhone.
My car.
All things soccer (football!)
And video games.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Humans and their interactions, absolute truths, human suffering,
what to eat for the night (ah, juxtaposition...), life in general
and how to improve video games.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends. Playing games. Drinking. Discussing
personal philosophical theories (or someone's understanding of
them). Determining how to influence the next generation to be
smarter than the current generation. Or I'm coding games for
school. The life of a college student, eh?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I was afraid of the dark until I was a pre-teen. What? I had, and
still have, a wild and unruly imagination.
You should message me if
If you want to talk about shows like Dexter, Lost, House, Spaced,
cartoons from the 90s, and such.
If you want to wax philosophical.
If you want to smile.
