My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I hope to meet new people, make more friends and go do fun stuff around town.

I have a great job that fits in my 8 to 5. I lived in Denver, St. Louis and Chicago furthering my education and following my career path. I moved back to Oregon in 2009 to be closer to my family.

I have a long list of restaurants and food carts I haven't tried, as well as a long list of places I'd like to travel to soon. Maybe we can discuss our respective lists and see some new places together? Are you free for happy hour?

I love to snowboard, swim and run. I like walking to my neighborhood parks with my daughters, 5 and 9. They are obviously a priority in my life.

I'd like to find someone that I want to spend more time with. It's really that simple.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I take each day packaged up in shiny wrapping paper and tear into it like a six year old on Christmakwanzaka morning. I'm usually pleasantly surprised.

I appreciate the little things. And the big things. Like all the awesome trees we have around here. I love trees. And water. I often stop to smell roses.

The golden rule is a good guide. Not the one about the gold and that guy doing all the ruling. The other one. I genuinely care about others.

I am just getting back into the water after a long hiatus from swimming competitively as a youth, and loving it! It's like riding a bike. Only you get wet. And you're practically naked. Plus you might drown.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
snowboarding
swimming
making a fool of myself
making refreshing cocktails
whistling
naming an actor's voice (as in a commercial voice-over or an animated movie)
making lists
general badassery
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Great Gatsby, The Sneetches, Siddhartha

Movies: Tommy Boy, Caddyshack, The Jerk

Shows: Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, Archer, Adventure Time

Music: I enjoy all music from classic rock to classical. Top of the list these days are Led Zeppelin, Flaming Lips, Air, Wynton Marsalis, Sufjan Stevens, instrumental Beastie Boys and Vampire Weekend. Live music is the best.

Food: Recovering vegetarian. I was vegetarian for 13 years, then started introducing water species into my diet, and have slowly been adding land animals, as well. Mostly the bacon animals. Thai, Pizza, French, Italian, etc. Not particularly picky, and I'm out to try new spots.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My daughters.
Great beer and wine. And food.
Friends and family.
Water in liquid and powder forms.
Music, art and creative outlets.
Oh. I can't count.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
That thing I did that one time that was so embarassing that nobody else either saw or remembered.

How my life would've turned out if I were Wesley from Mr. Belvedere. Or Westley from The Princess Bride.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Is that I'm an open book. But, not on your MacBook.

If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain. 'Cause I don't drink piña coladas so you'll have to for the both of us. Coconut flavoring is sick. I like 'em fresh. And we live in Oregon where it rains like ten feet a year, so you'd better damn well enjoy some rain now and again. And now, again.

Seriously though, if you like piña coladas or you'd like to get to know me; I'm sure I'd like to get to know you.

You'd like to get a coffee. Or grab a drink. Have some food together. Have a conversation with a funny, confident, driven guy.

You'd like to go for a bike or a hike. Or something completely different.
