I am Clever, Nerdy, and Awesome.
My Self-Summary
Hi, my name is Jack. I enjoy having Adventures! As a rather
renowned grammarian, it is my duty to tell you that the proper way
to write "Adventures!" is always capitalized and with an
exclamation point at the end.
I'm a really big nerd. I collect and love comic books
I read a lot. In fact, I would have to say that I spend a good deal
of time reading. Lately I have been enjoying the Thursday Next
books by Jasper Fforde. Quite good, I highly recommend them.
I haven't eaten meat for the last two weeks. This isn't the
beginnings of vegetarianism, I simply haven't been interested in
meat. Though apples have been hitting the spot all too well. Salad
too, which is odd since I have never been particularly fond of
salad.
UPDATE: I ate meat again. Though I still rather prefer an apple to
a hamburger these days.
I really enjoy Renaissance Faires. I like to dress up and have
Adventures! I would like to note that I do not like the SCA much at
all for a variety of reasons. I make my own costumes and have a
decent collection of them.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for an insurance company. It's rather boring, but I enjoy it
nonetheless. I try to keep things exciting with my
shenanigans.
I am writing the next great novel. As I have been for the last few
years.
Currently, a couple friends and I have begun trying our hand at
musical theater. It's a fair bit of work, but we hope we can reap
some benefits. All in all, it's quite fun.
I’m really good at
Reading, Writing, Being Awesome, and Broing.
I like games. I don't play a lot of video games, but I rather enjoy
bored games.
Also, I am wicked good at trivia.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair? My beard? My ruggedly handsome good looks?
I honestly don't know.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books:
Lord of The
Rings, Narnia, The Dresden Files, The Wheel of Time, Anything
by Neil Gaiman, Comic Books, and countless others.
Movies:
Lord of the Rings, Watchmen, 300, The Wall, Anchorman, Old School,
Sin City, X-men 2, Star Trek, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back To the
Future, Back TO School, Anything by Mel Brooks
Music:
I like a lot of different types of stuff. Lately I have been all
about musicals. I also like a lot of Irish music, Punk, and Classic
Rock.
Tv: (I know this wasn't on here but I had to include it)
Doctor Who,
Buffy,
Battlestar
Galactica, 24, The Office, Scrubs, Lost, Heroes, Torchwood, How
I Met Your Mother
Food:
I am a sucker for baked goods. Also, I love hamburgers. Oh! And
pizza. Peanut butter and jelly is also always good. Apples,
bananas, and peaches are my favorite fruits.
The six things I could never do without
Literature
Adventure!
Family
My Doggy!
Friends
Food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever project I am currently obsessed with.
What would happen if I were attacked by:
A) Pirates
B) Ninjas
C) Zombies
D) Robots
In all seriousness, there is no excuse for the lack of a decent
Zombie plan.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either resting from a long week or going out and having Adventures!
with my friends.
I am ind of a film junkie, so if something good is coming out, most
likely I am going to see it immediately. This is especially true
for the upcoming GI Joe movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Ask my mother, she would be MORE THAN HAPPY to tell you all the
embarrassing stories she can think of.
However, I will share a few things:
My father is mentally handicapped, therefore it is not okay to make
fun of them or especially him in my presence.
I don't sleep much, often, or well.
I was home schooled for two years in high school.
I can sew, knit, and crochet. I can also cook, though I don't often
as it is inefficient to cook a fair bit of food when it's just me.
You should message me if
You think I sound awesome.
You know the difference between "Affect" and "Effect".
You are interested in a guy who can discuss Lord of the Rings, The
Simpsons, and Winston Churchill in one conversation.
Perhaps you think that an evening discussing the merits of Star
Wars over tea sounds like an evening well spent.
