I was born and raised in St. Paul, where I continue to live. It's a wonder I'm still here given the fact that I dread winter. But the Twin Cities have so much to offer...it would be hard to just pick up and leave.
I did many of the things that good St. Paul kids did growing up in my generation...went to Catholic schools, became an altar boy and boy scout and then went to college. Immediately following college, I started a lengthy career in government, where I succeeded in a number of professional positions. I met my wife at work. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with M.S. within two months of our marriage. She passed away in 2008. I recently sent her beloved dog to join her in heaven. And now, it's awfully quiet in my house.
Despite a few setbacks in my life, I am a very resilient and optimistic person, and I look forward to many fun times ahead.
