My self-summary
Single dad- loves reading, music, Internet, friends~!- Going to school and working right now. Go to MySpace and look up /jackhammer95815. That will tell you most of what you need to know. Sorry, I am just really never on this site anymore. Mad love for my homies divageekMKE, gingerpett, and amadra. Peace out.

OH! Also...not looking to create some family or "complete" anyone else. Already done that, f*ck all that noise. I'm complete as I am, no matter what I have or don't have, are you? Just looking for people to laugh and learn with. Life is a journey, let's not make it all into goals of getting married just to say we did it, OK? If you can dig where I'm coming from, great! If not, sorry to disappoint, move along to the next person.

I am introspective, down-to-earth, and optimistic
What I’m doing with my life
Just trying to improve all the aspects of me. Being the best father I can be to my son. Just taking things day by day, but focused on goals that I'm setting for myself. Taking time each day to talk to friends. Slowing down long enough to hear what the Universe is saying to me in that particular moment. Never settling for less than I should, at least for very long. Being responsible, and having self-respect. Hanging with my winggirls, letting it all hang out. Going back to school! I am younger than you! I will outlive you all!
I’m really good at
Things I excel at: Listening to you. No, really! I am easy to talk to. I communicate well also, even with my Y-chromosone handicap. I enjoy playing guitar or whatever is handy. Music has been a part of my life for a long time now, even if it doesn't dominate it like it did a long time ago. Cooking and baking! I grew up learning how to fend for myself from my dad, and he was an excellent cook, much better than myself, but I do OK. Getting the bacon crispy, yet not burnt. Math (for the hot nerdy chicks in the crowd, it always came naturally to me). Being a friend. Intellectual debates. Reading the credits at the end of movies, karaoke, making others feel good, writing or anything else that's creative in nature. Poetry and prose are a lot of my creative direction these days. I am kicking around the idea of writing an autobiography, but we'll see.
The first things people usually notice about me
I think that I'm kind of quiet until people get to know me. I'm the type of person that people notice as a friend first and foremost. I'm like that hit of creeper that sends your mind on a trip when you're not expecting it anymore. I like the fact that I retain the majority of my ex-lovers as friends. I try my best to stay true to my word, I place a high value on integrity and loyalty to my friends and family. Quiet confidence. Hidden intensity, the good kind. The heart on my sleeve. All that and my ass. (That one's for Michelle).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors that I have read and enjoyed:

George Orwell, Issac Asimov, Josh Waitzkin, Mitch Ablom, Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, Adlous Huxley, Jack Kerouac, James Robinson, Alan Moore, JK Rowling, Khalil Gibran, Richard Bach, Alex Haley, J.D. Salinger, Herman Hesse, Tom Robbins, Diablo Cody, Kerry Cohen, Mick Foley. I think I will check out Kurt Vonnegut, too. Everyone seems to like his books. I'm big into autobiographies as well. Everyone has an interesting story to tell. I am big into comic books. I don't collect much anymore, but I do hang out at Barnes and Noble or the local library, reading graphic novels and regular books.

Music: Metal, old school hip-hop, jazz, classical, blues, even the occasional country song (if the story is a good one.)Favorite bands include Led Zeppelin, Miles Davis, Judas Priest, Mozart, Beethoven, Grandmaster Flash, Public Enemy, Megadeth, Metallica, Ac/Dc (Bon Scott!), Eminem, The Art of Noise, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Iron Butterfly, Cream, Deep Purple, Crosby Stills and Nash (and Neil Young!), Tesla, The Who, The Beatles, Sean Lee, Stevie Wonder, tons of retro stuff. Pretty much everything that rules.

Food: Mexican, Italian, Mongolian, American.

Movies: The Usual Suspects, Bulworth, The Warriors, Young Guns, The Dark Knight, Unbreakable, Signs, (anything M. Night Shymalan), The Wizard of Oz, Willie Wonka (with Gene Wilder), Batman Begins, What the Bleep Do We Know?, The Iron Giant, Tommy Boy, Happy Gilmore, The Shadow, Lord of the Rings trilogy, A Bug's Life, The Incredibles, (anything Pixar), West Side Story, The Basketball Diaries, The Italian Job, Fight Club, Four Brothers, Farenheit 9/11, Secondhand Lions, Schindlers List, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Big Lebowski, Breakfast Club, Heathers, As Good As It Gets, Freddy vs Jason, Hellraiser series, 28 Days Later, Reign Over Me, Practical Magic, The Harry Potter series, The Princess Bride (classic!), Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, (anything by Burton with Depp, or just Burton), Fight Club, Beyond The Mat, Persepolis, Unforgiven, Wizards, Big Trouble In Little China, 12 Monkeys, The Matrix; and many others...

TV: Heroes! And Adult Swim always makes me laugh. I will always stop to watch wrestling or UFC, too.
The six things I could never do without
(Not counting Air, food, or water:) my son, my friends, a toothbrush, intelligent conversations, music, my guitar, a creative outlet, the Internet, books, coffee. I guess that's ten. Oh well.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Creative energies, The Butterfly Effect, the peak experience, synchronicity, spirituality, entropy, resonant energy, quantum physics and the overlap of scientific and spiritual laws, the use of fnords in the present media, the future, friends and family, people I have yet to meet, people I can't seem to get a hold of right now, my own life's path, malleable destiny. I also spend a lot of time within my own head, realizing that I am the hardest person for me to figure out. Maybe that's why I wanted to be a psychologist in high school.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home, chillin' with my son. That's our day to hang out and talk about what's really on our minds. On the rare occasion that doesn't happen, it's chillin' with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Anything. I'm not a hard person to know.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 27–46
  • Near me
  • For new friends, activity partners, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
If you are interesting and have something to say. If you are not one of the "normal" people. If you still know what it is to truly live and be alive. Please do not message me if you cannot converse with large words. Also, do not message me if you lack the ability to use punctuation and spell words correctly. Also do not message me if getting remarried is your agenda because you're lonely and need someone to keep your life together. Desire, don't require; that's the key.
