Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THE PACKERS LOST.
It's okay. I'm fine. No big deal. I don't even care about dumb
Here's some of the stuff I'm up to and up for this winter...
* Soundbox! This is the coolest thing happening in San Francisco --
can't wait for the next one.
* Film festivals -- Berlin & Beyond, Mostly British, etc.
* A ski trip or two to Tahoe
* Maybe find an adult soccer team that doesn't play at midnight on
* A trip or two to wine country
* Getting past 'Camptown Races' in my piano lessons.
If you like some of that stuff, maybe we're simpatico-ish.
A little about me: born in the Midwest, spent much of my life in
California and many great years in NYC. Been in SF for about 6
I like to wander... travels big or little. I want to spend more
time in Tahoe, Yosemite and explore more of the East Bay. I may
re-think my car-free existence. Baby steps…
I love learning about how other people live, think and express
themselves. I deeply respect and admire musicians, designers and
visual artists, and I've always wanted to date an architect. For
me, my own creativity generally takes the written form. Or the form
of an ice cube, if my wonder twin is nearby.
I have a really big smile that's not hard to provoke. Nothing is
more fun to me than spending hours with friends and laughter and
wine. And more laughter. And probably some cheese.
Being from the Midwest, I may tease you a little. You should be
flattered – sarcasm is one of our currencies! (Be glad I'm not from
New England, in which case I'd punch you in the arm.) And I love to
laugh – often at myself. And a man who makes me laugh really turns
I'm really a sweetie pie, a romantic, and I value kindness above
I'm idealistic, hopeful and passionate in an
Irish-Italian-Sagittarian way. I feel things strongly and have
known real pain and real happiness.
I love my family and have terrific friends, and I strive to be a
good friend, sister and daughter. I'm passionate about the work I
do and spend a lot of time and energy on it. But I'm really trying
to get that work/life balance thing going.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work for an educational nonprofit that helps turn motivated kids
from low income communities into college graduates. I led the
start-up of the organization's first expansion outside of New York
City, and I love the excitement of starting things from scratch (or
almost scratch). I know I'm lucky to have found work that makes me
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Taking chances on a new restaurant, bar, band or person. Making a
day an adventure.

Three-way tie: my ginormous smile, red hair, sparkly blue eyes.

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Airplane tickets, wine, family, good friends, California, New York
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are a good guy. Hopeful, funny, confident. With a sense of
style. If you have a goatee, you should either be a professional
baseball player or a fireman.
You know who you are. You are interested in the world around you.
You should be passionate about something in your life: your work,
your art, your politics, etc. If you're passionate about Burning
Man, you should probably look elsewhere.
You should enjoy physical and emotional intimacy like I do.
I'm a big believer in a few forces central to coupling: timing,
chemistry and momentum. Timing-wise, I'm pretty much looking for
the real thing. A partner for the long term. Monogamy. Probably
family. In terms of chemistry, I believe in the meet-in-person
kinda chemistry it's impossible to figure out online or via email.
(While I don't mind a couple of back and forth emails, I'd prefer
to meet you face to face...). And finally, momentum. If we're on
the same page in terms of timing and chemistry, let's do this! I'm
busy too -- but never so busy that I can't make time for someone
who makes my heart flutter...
How does that sound?
