My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
One sentence: I'm the coolest girl with the username Jadedone234 you'll ever read about.

Ok, that sentence was all a bunch of hot air, except for the fact that OkCupid doesn't allow members to use a name that's already taken, so in that aspect it's totally true! I'm the girl that can never sit still, who always tries to make people laugh and goes with the flow. I'm very sarcastic, silly, and have no fear of embarrassing myself when it comes to having fun.

August 6, 2013: I feel I have reached a clearer idea of what I am looking for, and it warrants an update to this dusty profile. Like almost everyone else on here, I am looking for that elusive connection, that spark that makes a person stand out to you among all the warm bodies of the population. I am looking for a partner to share in the many adventures feasible in life, from travelling to new places to the exploration of the senses in every aspect that can be applicable. Someone to laugh with (and I laugh at a lot of silly things, like the word "bumblebee;" come on, doesn't it make you giggle just a teeny bit?), cry with, converse with about the mundane and the extraordinary, and experience new things with. Someone to trade witty remarks and playful double entendres with, who finds connecting with someone becomes more about the words you speak to each other instead of what you look like (yes, physical attraction is still somewhat vital to this, but a pretty face can only get you so far when all you can muster during a conversation are monotone one-sided responses to things I ask).

I realize this is a very general statement that a lot of people could also write, but it is different from what I previously was looking for on here, and I want to make my interests more definite. This does not mean I am wanting to rush into something serious asap; I would just like to meet some new people who might keep me on my toes and see what happens. Also, messages that consist solely of, "How's it going," or "You're (insert "sexy," "hot," or whatever similar adjective of your choice here) will not reach the part of me that will want to respond to you. But thanks anyways for the compliments.

My profile says I'm looking for "everybody" because I would like to keep myself open to making new female friends through here. So ladies, if you think we'd get along or you'd like a new galpal to do things with, drop me a line!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm living it. Sometimes I wonder if I'm making the most of my time here, but then I think about all the things I've had a chance to see and do, and then I feel like I'm going in the right direction. Right now, I do my five days a week job where I legally push drugs (no marijuana), and at night I'm free to explore my ever-growing mountain of interests. I'm on a quest to learn more about the complexities of wine, while blogging about it the whole way. I dance, I sing, I write...but not all at once.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
remembering details (unless you count names, which for some reason tend to leave me as soon as I hear them). I'm also proficient at kicking ass (I trained in kung fu for a few years), running on an endless supply of internal energy, and making people laugh. Oh, and I'm super awesome at writing the way I talk, which is why this paragraph keeps getting longer because I'm writing the way I would be talking as if I were speaking in person. :)
The first things people usually notice about me

is the way I walk. I always walk very purposefully, but it doesn't necessarily mean I always have something to get to. It's pretty handy for manouevering through crowds, though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Lolita, the Neverending Story, His Dark Materials Trilogy, Rainer Maria Rilke.

Movies: a lot, I'm a bit of a movie buff (IMDB is my go-to for trivia). The movie that always makes me feel a bit nostalgic is the Breakfast Club, but I enjoy anything from documentaries to action to fantasy (although I'm too much of a chicken to enjoy horror).

Food: anything and everything! I do enjoy Japanese and Italian food a lot. And cheese. Mmmm, cheese (camembert and piave mezzano are my go-tos).

Music: varies. I have a particular fondness for Queen and for Jason Mraz, and am loving the music by Adele right now. Otherwise, I like genres from Vanessa Mae to Lady Gaga.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family and friends, music, literature, food, travel, and my camera.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life. Love. Sex. Tattoos. The routine of my day if I had a dog. Things to put down as things I think about. The future. The past. The present. Or, to sum things up nicely, you, baby. *wink*
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
searching for my own slutty pumpkin (if you don't watch "How I Met Your Mother," you should know that isn't meant to be taken literally...or seriously. Kind of). Most likely I am doing whatever I do on any other night. Numerous options include: working out, staying in and watching movies, going out with friends, ice skating, reading the many books I own but have yet to finish, rocking "Bohemian Rhapsody" at karaoke...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is I'm willing to admit a lot of things if I'm asked. I'm an open book, I just need someone to turn the first page. And also, that episode of "Futurama" where Fry tries to clone his dog always makes me tear up at the end.
