Greetings all!

So, first of all - if folks have messaged me in the last, say, 6-8 months and I've fallen off the face of the earth, my deepest apologies. I'm a bit inconsistent these days due to health issues. While I'm sorting them out, I'm sometimes a 'let's mail and chat' kinda gal. The good news is I AM sorting them out and mobility is steadily returning.

I graduated from a super-busy program, in which I studied theatre and drama. I'm also quite passionate about music and singing. Needless to say, I'm more than a bit on the artsy side. I'm also more than a bit on the geeky/nerdy side, but charmingly so, I fancy. I love reading, words, and the academics in general.

I have a tendency to burst into song, and sneeze around cats. These are unrelated.

As I don't really know what else to say, that's all for now!

I am friendly, intelligent, and quirky
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At the moment, getting healthy and learning to play the guitar. Soon, hopefully, I'll be back to auditioning, working, and maybe actually acting!

Performance - be it music, theatre, or otherwise - is important. It's a way to tell stories, yes, but also a way to share new ideas and find stories to tell that matter and speak to people. It is a way to connect people to each other, to empathize and become involved in stories that aren't our own. This means that theatre can push boundaries, introduce new ideas, and generally serves a purpose. If that weren't enough, it also is important culturally, in that it can be used as a reflection of a time period, of a people, of a class.

So while I'm telling stories and performing, I believe there is a deeper, more important aspect to what I do than entertainment. (Though I also believe that entertainment factor is an important one, too)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
singing, acting, spending entirely too much time in my head, making balloon animals ('really good' is perhaps an exaggeration), being extremely silly, and any number of things I cannot think of at the moment.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm rather on the short side, or that I have curly hair, I suppose. Though loud might also be on the list.

Oh dear. This is going to be long. I'll just come back to this, shall I?

Books: The Sparrow, Ender's Game (even though Card is a homophobe), most anything by Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett, The Hobbit, anything by Charles de Lint, Halting State, A Song of Ice and Fire (aka the Game of Thrones series), and I really do read things outside of the sci-fi/fantasy genres, I swear! This list will be expanded upon.

Movies: The Court Jester, Clue, The Princess Bride, Kissing Jessica Stein, Wall-E... and surely, this list will expand, too.

TV: Babylon 5, Doctor Who, Avatar:The Last Airbender, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Firefly, Buffy, Battlestar Galactica, Bomb Girls, Orphan Black, The Bletcheley Circle, Orange is the New Black, Pushing Daisies... and again, this will probably be updated. Yes, I do have a bit of a love for all things sci-fi/fantasy.

Music: Anything written by Stephen Sondheim, or Jason Robert Brown. Great Big Sea, Moxy Fruvous, Dar Williams, Kate Rusby, The Wyrd Sisters, The Barenaked Ladies, the Nylons, Eddie From Ohio, The Indigo Girls, Deirdre Flint, Da Vinci's Notebook, a capella in general, The Rankin Family, Tanglefoot, Peter Paul and Mary, and many musicals. (For interest's sake, those include: Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, The Last Five Years, In the Heights, Guys and Dolls, Jekyll and Hyde, Wicked, Rent, Ragtime... the list could go on.) I also adore choral music, particularly singing it.

Food: Is tasty. Regrettably, dairy has declared a war upon my body, which rather limits what I can eat.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order
1) Friends
2) Music
3) Books
4) Theatre
5) Cuddling
6) Dogs
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What happens now? I also spend a great deal of time thinking about people, life, the universe, and the many things that fall into those categories. That is to say, I spend a lot of time thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really love puppets. (Also, puppies).

what you've read above appeals, clearly. If you have an abiding love of the arts and creative endeavors, or all things geeky, or simply want to chat.
