I feel like a big part of a successful relationship is being friends with your partner first. If you can't joke around with them, tell them things and have them listen as your friend and not a "girlfriend" then it'll never work.
I'm much more in favor of just meeting and having a face to face conversation. I feel like we'd learn more about each other, and isn't meeting the point anyway? I do however find myself in the uncomfortable position of not liking coffee. So, there's that.
I have a really bad habit of being the middle of editing my profile then just walking
However, if there aren't any shows happening I don't get any work. Which is why I, like most of colleuges, work at basically every venue in the triangle. On paper I have something like 7 jobs.
It's fun some days working some big broadway show or a mid level band thats grateful to be out of the club scene but not big enough that they're prima donnas. It is everything the entertainment industry is touted to be, good and bad.
I'm trying to buy a house, so we'll see where that takes me.
I don't read instructions I just do. Again, it's kind of my job.
I'm a half-decent cook, or I was back when time was a commodity I posessed.
My friends have told me that I'm "extremely well-adjusted"
and my father once described me as "the ultimate hippie"
and honestly, I wasn't sure weather or not to be insulted.
If that doesn't work for you as a description. I've been told I look like Gambit, and/or Flynn Rider. So, apparently I have a latent mutant power, or belong in a Disney movie.
However true they are, I'm not sure...I guess really doesn't matter if it's "the first thing you notice" it must count for something. So apparently I give off the air that I'm a snappy dresser despite only ever wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
Books - I do read actual books! Work leaves little time for actually doing this, or rather books that aren't related to my job in some way. I do have books on my shelf, like some sort of smart literate person would, and I have read most of them! So that's something.
I enjoy comics but reading a whole series would be like trying to eat an entire car dealership. So trade paperbacks are the order of the day. Again, when I find the time. Some people think comics are dumb. But, George Orwell never ended a sentience with "..and then he shot lasers from his face." and we will never know if they world is a poorer place for it.
Shows - Actual television irritates me greatly. I only watch stuff on Netflix, but honestly I don't even really watch it that often and I've considered not paying for it anymore. What I do watch are things that the most of the god fearing world would consider very nerdy, but I find unquestioningly normal.
Movies -I really love movies and I could never even begin to list all of the movies I enjoy. Things from
Army of Darkness to uh.. I don'know something that ends with Z. umm Zardoz. sure we'll go with Zardoz.
Music- Music is a really broad category for me as well. Given a choice, it tends to lean more towards metal. If it's just music on in the background, it's kind of whatever. I quoted Lady Gaga off the top of my head in one of my question explanations.
Video Games - I include this here because I'm very much a gamer and it's important to me. But it's very important to note that I only played Call of Duty that one time so that I couldn't be called a hypocrite. Because color me unimpressed Batman. I own a ZX spectrum game, and it's technically based the musical of the same name not the movie, cause I'm a huge nerd. So that's where the bar is.
But for lack of a more eloquent way of doing things, as again I find this difficult to write without it being an extension of my resume. Here is a list of stuff I find interesting:
rock-climbing, gardening, massage-therapy, Zen, quantum-mechanics, (no really) physics, statistics, programming
I have Letter of Sexual Recommendation. Seriously. I used to keep a copy in my wallet. 1) because it was hilarious as a conversation starter 2) because I probably need to seriously re-evaluate my definition of the word "appropriate"
All that said. I'm not in that habit of chasing down sexual pray like a Cheetah. I could rattle on about gender politics, but suffice to say, there is noting more attractive then a women who is in control of her sex life enough to proactively want one. I'm not in the market of having sex with children. You're a big girl I trust you to use your big girl words.
Also, fun fact, my name isn't Jak, but my middle name is Mitchell.
There is all this pressure to "knock it out of the park" with this perfect message. It's better to just hear from you if you're interested.
I'm never really happy with my profile so I'm always re-writing, and editing it.
