My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a smart, hardworking, ambitious guy with oodles of talent and tons of humility! Level-headed with the occasional burst of inspiration and creativity, but ultimately practical and conservative at heart (for example - I will assiduously scrimp and save ... for a balloon flight over a volcanic crater in Iceland)

I'm the kind of guy you'd find in a record store leafing through the bargain bin for amusement ... if there were record stores anymore. I love the sound and feel of thunderstorms in the city. I love the smell of old books, and of the scent of woodfires on the November winds while kicking my way through fallen autumn leaves. I will never own a super-luxurious new car. I enjoy looking out the window in an airplane, and I welcome the challenge of finding my way relatively unaided in the metro system of a foreign city. I love coffee, but not lattes or frappuccinos - but I won't judge if you do.

I love me some Karaoke. I love watching people get up there and be brave! I love singing a good tune (Elvis is a fan favorite), and I like seeing people just have a good time. I love going to the beach to swim and play in the surf.

Apparently, I can read Shakespeare aloud pretty well. I'm always mistaken for 10-15 years younger than I am (so, yes, those are recent pictures of me) Apparently, I have 'great hair' and my appearance is highly variable based on the hair/beard/mustache configuration. I'm also apparently a good kisser , but I might have been lied to.

I play a few instruments (guitar and piano), but not terribly well. I write for fun. I also love the outdoors - I sail and swim and run and cycle when time permits.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working in Midtown or the East village, going on adventure vacations overseas saving my pennies and trying to build a future with a nice home and kids. I work in technology, and I love inventing new things, and harnessing the exploding power of our growing interconnected computer ecosystem.

Writing tiny snippets of short stories I hope to weave together into something larger, but if not - no biggie. I have a small garden that I like to tend once a week. I like listening to and playing music.

With the right partner, I really enjoy a whole lazy Sunday with the NY Times.

I like the challenge of figuring out cool, novel things to do on dates. Wanna launch a sky lantern?

I like to keep fit, but it's not an all-consuming part of my life. I love to Cycle when it's warm, and I row indoors when it's not.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love creating. I don't know what It is, but ever since I was a little kid, I've loved taking things apart and putting them back together. I like making tools, and I like experimenting in general.

When I was in college, I was a short-order cook in a diner, so I can make an excellent variety of breakfasts - Pancakes, eggs, waffles, crepes, and I make a mean bowl of cereal.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
... is my intense eyes and big smile. It's been said that I have charm and wit. Apparently, I have 'good hair' ... whatever that means ... as well. I currently have it a little shaggier than It is in the profile pic, and when I have a beard it starts out blonde and then becomes bright red.
