**More pictures coming soon**

Live, love, laugh, cry, work, sweat, play. Not in equal parts. I think that summarizes it.

Just trying to engage the world as fully as I can with kindness and integrity.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a private practice in naturopathic medicine.

Outside of my work, I enjoy keeping fit, cooking, making a difference in the world, and getting out into the world so it can make a difference on me.

I meditate regularly. I find I am calmer and my life is richer when I have a regular practice.

I signed up for the Seattle to Portland bike ride again this year and am enjoying getting back onto the bike for slow, short rides.

I geek out periodically. My latest: lactofermentation. I've fermented a couple batches of mixed veggies to give them a mild tangy flavor and to preserve them. It makes for one of the best garnishes ever. Currently there is a jar of sauerkraut bubbling away on my dining room table. Next on deck: hot peppers and then kimchi.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, laughing, playing tour guide for family and friends who visit, and just generally being a fun and optimistic person to be around, usually.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Eyes, hands down.

A wide variety of books. The Ocean at the End of the Lane was a great adult fairy tale, as was the Golem and the Jinni, and the Snow Child. The Language of Flowers brought a tear to my eye. The Sound of Heartbeats brought many. It's one of my favorite books of all time. I'm not a woos. I'm currently reading, At Home, by Bill Bryson. Do you know where the reference to "board" of the term "room and board" came from? I didn't. In early England, while people were kind of nomadic, they would place a board across their laps to eat food from. Now I think that term is super cool.

Sons of Anarchy is the current series on Netflix I'm addicted to.

Yes, music, I like it. Lots of different kinds of it.

I love exploring new places to eat and new foods. I thoroughly enjoy Thai, Korean, Sushi, Pho, Chicago or Napolitan style pizzas, mexican (have you been to the little taco trailer next to the Home Depot on North Aurora? some of the best Mexican food in Seattle for sure!), Indian, and Ethiopian. If I haven't eaten a particular food, I'd most likely be up for trying it. Tripe didn't go over so well, nor did liver, but I'd be willing to give them another go. Oh, I've become addicted to Vegemite with butter on toast in the morning.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
People or things or activities that give me a feeling of spaciousness in my chest.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Taking it easy, either out with friends enjoying good food and drink, or staying at home reading a book or watching a movie. I hate giving cliché answers, but it's true.
