My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I work in London and live in Oxford. I spent the last five years living in London, but decided it was time to head back to my home town Oxford. I still really enjoy working in London and all it has to offer.

I have work at a University in central London and I am happy to be working in the higher education sector and supporting education.

I love to travel, and take any opportunity to chase the sun in the beaches and cities in Europe, and on quite a few occasions beyond. Every now and again I like to go further than the land and enjoy scuba-diving.

I also like to watch and play sport. With football, rugby and tennis probably being my favourite but am completely able not to bore you to death with these things if you have no interest. I ran the London marathon earlier this year so like to think I can be pretty healthy when I put my mind to it.

Finally, I am an aspiring novelist, and have been writing a book for a few years. The coach journey to work is useful for that. Well useful if the book is any good, which it might not be and I was able to not spend a lot of journeys catching up on sleep!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a financial whizz (sometimes anyway!) working for a University. I enjoy my job and hope one day to finish my novel before realising it is a book that has already been written many times by others! Hopefully it will still be good though.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Best man speeches having done a few recently. Jack Whitehall was in attendance at the last one & complimented its humour, so now I keep a careful eye out for him stealing my material!

Having worked in a few bars when I was younger, I'm also pretty good at making cocktails, if that gets me any bonus points!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am quite tall & I like to think rugged, very similar to Jason Statham if you like but I've been in less films & this similarity might not be 100% correct... so probably just height!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music - It is quite cliched, but I consider my taste to be pretty eclectic. I am pretty open minded. Having said that, Coldplay are definitely my favourite band and no matter what my friends may say those boys know how to put on a show. This isn't to say that I don't have quite a varied & I think good taste in music, should you hate them! So a few others I like include... The National, Stars, Mumford & Sons, Stornoway, Beirut, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jeff Buckly, Tom McRae, Gogol Bordello, Bon Iver, Arcade Fire, Pheonix, Sigur Ros, Florence, Sia, First Aid Kit, Camara Obscura, Passion Pit and if you would like an incredibly guilty pleasure Tinie Tempah and some other very random stuff I wouldn't admit!

TV - I love a bit of 24 and Jack Bauer. Now that he is no more, along with The Soprano's and I'm a bit behind as everyone else seems to have already seen them. I'm trying to catch up with Homeland, Breaking Bad & The Wire. True Detective was also really good. I also watch a lot of comedy, and I particularly like Peep Show, Family Guy, Big Bang Theory and Fresh Meat.

Film - This is a tricky one, but some films I think are fantastic include; True Romance, Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, American Beauty, Pulp Fiction, City of God, Road to Perdition, The Godfather I & II and Man on Fire (which very few people agree with me on).

When it comes to food, I am a bit of seafood connoisseur and this had led me to becoming one of the best paella chefs around (well, maybe not, but I have had some practice). I also don't think you can go wrong with Italian or tapas.

I like meat, and have been searching for a place that does one of those 'if you eat this steak you can have it for free' like you see in the movies, but I have yet to find one - if anyone knows where I can do this, I would be delighted, though it would probably be the most un-romantic dinner date ever! Unless you are impressed by a man's capacity to eat a massive steak!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coldplay (I just love those guys) and other music, I don't listen to them constantly!

Socialising with friends on a sunny day, maybe punting and enjoying a few cold drinks is a bonus.

Running & various other sports.

Arsenal (not obsessively though!).

My friends and family.

Good holidays or weekends away.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I will do if my novel is ever published, and all my thoughts are exposed to the world!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Meeting up with friends and unwinding from the week at work.
