I am creative, stylish, and empathetic.
My Self-Summary
Basically, I'm currently working on a Bachelor of Arts at the
University of Melbourne, majoring in Political Science. It's
interesting, but I'm not sure if it's really what I want to do.
Journalism might be more my thing, but I'm not sure. Or maybe
psychology, or teaching, or law, or... So, I've been taking a wide
range of subjects.
I live in a small country town (yeah, I was affected by the
bushfires), and it's rather frustrating being so isolated from just
about everyone else in the world. I'm only about an hour from
Melbourne, but people generally seem to think it's much further.
One of the big reasons I made this profile, actually. If I'm not
there then I'm usually down in Sandringham.
I love music, and it doesn't really matter what it is. In my
collection you'll find stuff ranging from
Lacuna Coil, to
Paramore. Or
Nickelback to
Edguy.
Within Temptation and
Sirenia next to
Disturbed,
Breaking
Benjamin and
30 Seconds to Mars. I've also
started getting into bands like
MGMT,
Cobra Starship and the
like.
As for TV, I don't watch a lot of it. The only series I've really
watched in the past few years have been
Heroes and
Battlestar Galactica. I
think I'm a bit like
Peter Petrelli or
Lee Adama to be
honest.
I read quite a bit, one of my favorite books being
John Dies At The
End. It's a great read and the characters of John and Dave are
oddly similar to myself and my best mate. I read basically anything
I can get my hands on, no matter what it is. I think
Adam Cadre is a really
good writer.
Photopia was an amazing work.
I used to act, but it's been a while since I did that... I also
like to write, I've got a creative side that comes and goes in
energetic bursts.
As for other active things, I'm pretty good at long-distance
running and other things that generally rely on endurance. I also
love the beach. However, I have not been to the beach in a
while...
I'm a fan of strange, surreal comedy like
Tom Goes to the Mayor,
Tim and Eric
Awesome Show, Great Job,
Dinosaur Comics or
Aqua Teen Hunger
Force. But I also love comedy styled like
Red Dwarf and
Monty Python. I just like to
laugh and relax. Nothing is so serious that it can't be joked about
eventually.
And if anyone here takes personality types into consideration, I'm
apparently an INFJ.
What I’m doing with my life
University at the moment (Arts Degree: Political Studies at
Melbourne), but I'm thinking of maybe going into Journalism, and
struggling to find a job.
I’m really good at
Writing and cooking. I love to cook and like to think I can cook
pretty well but, more importantly, I can cook a wide range of meals
and things. Similarly, I love to write but most of the time I'm
just writing boring Uni essays... I like to think I'm good at
dancing (maybe). I think I sing well, but I probably strip paint
off walls.
On a less serious note, I can rock out on Guitar Hero haha.
And I PROcrastinate my studies a lot...
The first things people usually notice about me
Well, from what I can tell people tend to think I'm emo or goth
because of my hair. It's not my fault that's how it naturally
parts. Maybe my build? I have an incredibly fast metabolism. Black
leather jacket?
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books : John Dies At The End, World War Z, Every Sigh The
End.
Movies: The Crow, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Music : Edguy, Lacuna Coil, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin etc.
Food : Chocolate. Pasta is good too.
The six things I could never do without
Other people. Being alone is boring and drives me insane. Of
course, that's not to say I'm a social butterfly.
Music. I can't imagine a life without it. My iPod goes where ever I
go, just in case I get bored.
Water? Food? Conscious thought?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My life and where I'm going. I don't really have an answer yet. I'm
pretty introspective and can think for a loooong time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually I'm at home. That's not to say I don't go out, just that
it's usually earlier on in the week or on Saturday. Friday tends to
be a quiet night...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
These things are always more interesting discussed in person. Not
that I keep secrets, but if I'm not about to lay out my whole life
here...
Here's one thing though, when I smile I get uneven dimples. I don't
really smile a lot in photos because it makes my face look really
odd.
