I am observant, earthy, and passionate.

My Self-Summary

Just moved to New York. Typical intro. I'm originally from Seattle, lived in Boston for two years....now in NYC. As much as I love the rawness and overwhelming energy of the city, I'm a very down to earth person at heart and am still in an 'it's complicated' relationship with the West Coast, if you want to get all Facebook official.

I love to go out and get crazy with friends and meet people but I'm not really into the "scene". I am way more fulfilled and satisfied spending one-on-one time with someone in some dive bar talking about life until the wee hours of the morning, or even just staying in and laughing about absolutely nothing. I love dining out, in fact, I don't cook ever. I would love to meet someone to explore the various restaurants of the city.

I love the ocean, fashion, books, coffee, People, and finding beauty in ordinary things.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm an actor, like everyone else in this city. I have done theatre my entire life and am at a point in my career where I want to make the transistion to TV/film. We'll see what happens.

I’m really good at

laughing, being sarcastic, drinking, finding deeper meaning in things, reading people, loving, and having a good time with everything that I do. Overall I am pretty chill, but I can definitely get crazy at times. It's a good balance, I promise.
Also...I'm hopefully good at singing, acting, and dancing....since that is, after all, the career I've chosen

The first things people usually notice about me

[Insert older jewish woman accent here] "You're soo talll!" I'm 6'2...ish so that's the first thing. Sarcasm is a pretty close second, then comes the curly hair (depending on the day)and last but not least, I tend to get a lot of compliments on my legs. I dance. They're muscular. :)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:Lots, but I find ultimate pleasure when reading Oscar Wilde. Lately I've been reading a lot of Chuck Palahniuk. I'm also a huge fan of David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs .

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Love and other Disasters. Countless others. I'm a huge movie fan. I love
Dramas (or anything with phenomenal acting). Anything with Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman, Kate Winslet, or Brittany Murphy. I also love romantic comedies though, if we're being honest...

Music: Sia, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, Imogen Heap, India Arie, Santigold, etc. I like that type of music. HOWEVER, I also like Britney, Pink, Beyonce, etc. I listen to pretty much everything. I love to dance...but I also love to chill. Music is essential for the many moods of life.

Food: Hummus and Pita are crucial to my existence. I tend to eat pretty healthy. I love Japanese Food, Mediterranean food, Indian Food, Mexian Food, Everything. I'm always up for trying new things.

The six things I could never do without

Hmmm...this could get tacky. I'm just going to be completely honest and go with the first six things that come to my head. Judge me, but not too harshly...I'm sure I could think of 6 things with more depth and meaning, but I'm not in the mood.

-Coffee
-blackberry
-iPod
-laughing
-Love
-Friends

...not necessarily in that order.

That's not too bad, right?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Oh god, everything?

On a typical Friday night I am

Honestly? As of late, probably out dancing with friends in some bar. I would prefer to be spending my time more productively but I've yet to find a reason/person to steer me another direction. It wouldn't be hard to do.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Ok...I hope this makes sense. If you've seen RENT you'll understand. I'm not obsessed with RENT, I promise, but it's the easiest analogy I could come up with. My ideal relationship dynamic is one similar to Maureen and Joanne's. I am Maureen and I am looking to meet my Joanne. haha I know it sounds ridiculous, but Maureen is the unconventional, life of the party, artistic, crazy creative person and Joanne is the practical, academic, straight-edged, Lawyer, who appreciates the artistic, crazy lifestyle that her partner has. I need someone in my life like that.

It is by NO means necessary that you fill the shoes of Joanne in order for me to be interested! Obviously! It's just something that worked really well in the past.

You should message me if

...the spirit moves you. Message me if you're interested in long talks, cuddling, hanging out in funky coffee shops/bookstores, going out to bars for drinks.

I want to meet someone who is interesting, open-minded, down to earth, and loves to laugh.
