My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
**Will be moving to Albany (or nearby) in a couple months for a new job with the state. Possibly looking for a roommate. So, if you don't want to date me, maybe you'll want to live with me? I'm mostly clean and very quiet.

I really don't know how to describe myself. So here are some things that other people have said:

"You don’t interrupt. You’re not rude or crass. You don’t only talk about yourself. You don’t have weird tics or fidgets.
You’re not creepy or annoying. You have good teeth. You dress well." -- Female Friend from work

I was also told, recently, that I'm "cuter and younger looking" in person and that I'm a "smart dresser." -- Female Friend I met through Social Media

"I have a better question. Why the hell is a nice, thoughtful young man like you still single? Women had better wise up!" -- Female Friend of a Friend

"You're the nicest guy that I've met online." -- Recent date

"You're a good communicator. Seriously, most guys can't talk about what they're feeling. You do." -- Female Friend from work

"Wow! You smell REALLY good!" -- awkward woman in an elevator who was with her husband.

"Great teeth." -- Dental hygenist

"You're so sexy." -- Recent date

"If you only date one man this year, date James" -- I may have made this one up.

I'm rated 8.5 (out of 10) on LuLu.

The critics are raving.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to find out who I am. Staring at stars when I should be keeping my eyes on the road (this may or may not be metaphoric). Over-thinking unimportant things. Writing songs. Forgetting peoples' names.

I gave up my job as a selfie photographer because I only had one client.

I have a grown up job that I tolerate M-F, despite wanting to do other things with my time/life. Currently, I live alone. I'm working on getting a new job and a probable move to Albany.

My credit score is pretty phenomenal. I bet you are swooning.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
not knowing what I'm good at.
The first things people usually notice about me

are that I'm playing a guitar and wearing a hat.

Books: Anything by Neil Gaiman. Brandon Sanderson. Beach reads. Classics. I use to read a lot. However, over the last year or so, I quit reading five different books that I had attempted to start. I'm having a hard time getting "into" books for some reason. Not sure what my deal is. I still frequent book stores and browse, hoping to find something that grabs me and keeps me interested, and I just started re-reading a novel that I previously loved in hopes of jump-starting my love of reading (I think it's working).

Movies: I recommend to everyone: Masters of the Universe -- an awesomely awful 80s film in which He-Man, played brilliantly by Dolph Lundgren of all people, ends up on Earth where he gets to fight Skeletor's minions in a music store. Courtney Cox is in it. It didn't win any awards.

**deal breaker if you talk during movies.

Music: Folky-Indie Rock. Americana. Some classic Rock. 80's music. Alt Rock. Alt Country. Singer/songwriters. Local musicians. Acoustic guitars. Open Mics!

**when you listen to music, do you really listen? If you say, "let's listen to music," do you turn on some music and then proceed to talk about a billion different things that have nothing to do with the music? I'm someone who really listens and might want to talk about what they hear. PS -- when people are talking to me and there is music playing, I pretty much don't hear the person talking. If you find that to be an endearing quality, we're a match made in heaven.

Food: Italian. Americana. Nachos. Breakfast. Cheese.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
where in the world Carmen Sandiego is.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
probably checking out a local band.

A good evening for me is grabbing a nice dinner in a small group or with a close friend. Some drinks and conversations are great. Then, we'll go check out a band. If there isn't a good band to see, I prefer a quieter bar than a loud party (the one exception to this is Circus Cafe's Karaoke Night, which is actually on Saturdays).
