My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a huge Seinfeld fan (even though I'm actually normal sized ;-)), so I'll explain my situation with its help. In one episode, Kramer dated a woman in a wheelchair and described her by saying, "She's everything I could possibly want in another human being, ya know, except for the walking." I think this describes me perfectly (except that I'm a man).

I hope I don't sound obnoxious, but I'm everything you want (cue the 90's song). I had an accident when I was 14, but am "normal" otherwise. I have a spinal cord injury, but I have learned how to adapt and cope with pretty much everything and people tell me (quite often) that I'm an inspiration.

I'm happy to answer ANY questions. You will not offend me. I joke about everything (unless I need to be serious), my injury included.

"Maybe we could go somewhere and just eat a bunch of caramels... It's just as arbitrary as drinking coffee."

UPDATE: I've recently been told that it is intimidating to date someone in a wheelchair. If you feel that way, tell me and I can put your mind at ease. I'm approachable, knowledgable, and open. I've been told that I have a calming effect on people.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I teach high school math. I love the kids and I love math.

I also plan on beginning work my PhD "soon". I'll be applying to Brandeis in the fall and am ecstatic.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...a lot of things.

I feel like filling this section with too large of a list is more like bragging, so I'll limit my listing ;-).

I'm good at solving problems, remaining calm under pressure/crisis, sharing my feelings, complimenting others, making people feel appreciated. I'm an incredibly fast learner and can do almost anything I focus on :-D.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my smile, my beard, or my sunny disposition.

Maybe how the room got brighter when I entered :-P.

Also, possibly the song I am singing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books- Ready Player One, A Prayer for Owen Meany, State of Fear, Moneyball, Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty, Green Eggs and Ham (I haven't read it in a LONG TIME, but I love rhyming). I liked The Blind Side a lot. I'm reading Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons and might read Bossypants next. I'll keep you posted. I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat ;).

Movies- Spaceballs, Rounders, Ace Ventura, Bourne Trilogy, History of the World Part 1, The Matrix, He's Just Not That Into You, South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, 10 Things I Hate About You, Austin Powers, Airplane!, Remember the Titans, Juno, anything Disney/Pixar...

Shows - For reruns, I like Seinfeld, Friends, Arrested Development, Will & Grace, Frasier, Scrubs, Monk, and That 70's Show. For currently airing shows, I love Big Bang Theory, The Newsroom. and Game of Thrones. I like Psych, Castle, Modern Family, 2 Broke Girls, Franklin and Bash, White Collar, Suits, Covert Affairs, Mentalist, Person of Interest, Chelsea Lately, and The Soup.

Music- I like most music except hard rap and hard (loud) rock. My current favorites are Adele, Colbie Callait, Maroon 5, The Script, Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls, lots of groups from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, Sara Bareilles, and Rockapella. I love new music. Do you have any suggestions?

Food- I never say no to trying a new recipe or restaurant and get, literally, giddy when I am going to try a new place. My favorite types of food are Italian, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and Jewish. I also like Greek, Indian, and Brazilian food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) my family
2) my friends
3) love
4) tea
5) cell phone/iPad
6) Internet

I'm a little disappointed about the last two, but how did we live before all this technology?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...everything. My brain bounces from one topic to another very quickly. Common topics amongst the bouncing are: movie/tv lines, song lyrics, math, jokes, witty retorts, inappropriate comments, observations, and (of course) women.

Also have you ever thought that there's more to life than being really, really, really ridiculously good-looking?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My Friday night plans vary greatly an may include one or more of the following: going to the movies, having dinner with friends or family, resting after a long and tiring work week, trying something new, or going out with you ;).
