My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am pragmatic yet spontaneous-or as I have been told by friends- somewhere between a thrill seeker and a couch potato. I have an adventurous streak-whether its using my friends as guinea pigs and trying out a (slightly) exotic recipe I came across in a random magazine, lacing up my shoes and running with my dog along the lake, or loading up the car for a weekend camping (or road) trip. I love the outdoors. Kayaking, hiking and camping, reading a book on my porch etc.

I'm hoping to meet someone who will not only introduce me to new things, but is also up for some adventures that are new for the both of us.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living life to the fullest whether it's checking out a show, hanging out in a nearby bar with friends, planning some sort of road/camping/day trip or vacation and at times, simply chilling at home watching a bad movie or reading a good book.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding a parking spot. My traffic karma is not so great though.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told my eyes. Honestly though, you would have to ask them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I read a little of everything but have been on a mystery kick as of late.

Movies: I'm all over the board on movies, but not a big fan of gore flicks.

TV: Game of Thrones (Yes. I've read the books and can't wait for the sixth one to come out so I can see if my theory is right), Sons of Anarchy, Dr. Who, The Walking Dead, Suits, True Detective

Music: A little of this, a little of that... My playlists are constantly changing but you will always find Social D, Rancid, The Ramones, and The Clash in the mix.

Sports: Football (born and a raised Hawkeye) and hockey.

Food: A little bit of everything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Family and friends
2. My dog (although she really falls into the family/friends category)
3. The usual things you need when you leave the house i.e. keys, wallet etc.
4. Mac, iPhone, iPod...Ok, I probably could do without these if I had to.
5. Coffee
6. A good book
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What running a half marathon at high altitude going to be like.

How is it that my dog, who is half my size, somehow manages to take up more of the bed than I do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It all depends on what is going on and how burned out I am from the work week. Generally Fridays are a low key. When it's warm, a relaxed evening often involving firing up the grill and cards on the porch with friends. In the cooler/cold weather, a bad movie, a good book or holing up in a dive bar.

I tend to be more active on Saturdays/Sundays and typically involves a bike ride to the farmers market or along the lake and hanging out at the beach; checking out a show or neighborhood fest; kayaking on the lake or nearby river; or heading down to Starved Rock or the Sand Dunes for the day. If all else fails a dive bar is always a great backup.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That all depends on how well I know the person.
