Personal ads? Yeah, I always know just what to put in these things. But what can I say? I am good at them. It's a gift. So who am I in a few words?

Okay... I am going to level with you. Honesty is important to me and this is no way to start off this relationship. I find this section a little difficult.

But basically I would say I am a pretty nice guy, happy, and easy going. I think my friends would tell you I am a lot of fun. I always have lots of ideas of things to do and see. And I am always up for doing them. I am kind of an unconventional guy too, different in a good way.

So this is the section where I am supposed to impress classy tastes. Well prepare to be impressed... ladies.

I read quite a bit. And to satisfy my curiosity of the world I mostly read nonfiction. A couple of my faves are Guns, Germs, and Steel and The Omnivores Dilemma. When I read fiction it is often the classic geek texts like Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy or Lord of the Rings. I do get around to proper literature now and again. The Dharma Bums is one of my favorites.

I gravitate toward comedies, Caddyshack, Animal House, The Big Lebowski, Office Space, Old School. I enjoy good action films like Fight Club, Snatch, and Unforgiven. In the drama department it’s Dead Poets Society, Breakfast Club, and Before Sunrise. I love the classics of sci-fi and fantasy like Blade Runner.

These days I mostly listen to guys like Van Morrison, John Lennon, Nick Drake, Iron & Wine. I listen to a lot of British stuff too, Oasis, Ride, Travis, and Coldplay (their an obscure eclectic band I am sure you have never heard of). I am pretty fond of The Shins too.

I don't think this system has enough RAM for me to type in all my favorite foods. I wouldn't label myself as a foodie. Let just say a food enthusiast. I find myself sighing a lot in the presence of picky eaters.

My mountain bike, my camera, and my laptop. Only three things. I guess I have finally become the minimalist I have always wanted to be.

I suspect the creators of this site intended this to be a short list of our interests. I love traveling. I mostly do road trips all around the country. But I have done some trips abroad and I intend to do more in the near future. I like mountain biking, hiking, and sea kayaking. And recently I have taken up sailing. I am driven to create things. I like crafts like ceramics and wood working. But I do a lot of photography too. And then I just like exploring and learning more about Mother Nature, hiking, camping, bird watching, and gardening.
