My self-summary
I'm a story teller, a listener, and a mad scientist. I firedance and analyze and plan day to day, and then do rescue work and build pony war chariots on my vacations. I tend to vary from introverted to extroverted, from creative to protective, and I love debate and logic. I value becoming right over being right, and love both learning and teaching. I'm also absolutely a geek.

Also, I'm polyamorous. That's probably important.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a graduate of UC Santa Cruz, where I majored in Theater Arts with a minor in Computer Science, focusing on acting and sound design. I work as a programmer and a stagehand. For fun, I spin fire poi, practice aerial tricks on silks, go rock climbing, and practice cooking. My creative projects have included choreographing a massive sword and staff fire dance inspired by the Maori Haka with influences from around Indonesia and East Asia (see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6uHLf2RKMg ), modifying my 54' X 36' shade structure with heat shielding using recycled billboard vinyl and Mylar emergency blankets (successfully completed!), building a human sized hamster wheel powered carriage (needs a little work but is functional, see here: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2485/3911774516_48571a6f1f_b.jpg ), and building a theater.
I’m really good at
I'm a decent audio technician with a passion for theater. I'm also a decent fire spinner, capable of doing a variety of crazy little tricks (and I've recently choreographed a nice little fire dance). I've been told I'm a capable actor, and not too bad at listening either. I cook a great deal. I'm half decent on the trampoline, and used to teach and choreograph sock puppet musical theater. Which is cooler than it sounds, especially when performed by 30 insane 7-14 year olds. And, um, I've learned to play patty-cake? I'm also a programmer.
The first things people usually notice about me
I get a lot of comments about the coat I usually wear, so I guess I'll have to go with that.

The six things I could never do without
I never like questions like this. I'm too much of an engineer at heart... Stimulus, Oxygen, Food, Water, Heat, and Shelter are the obvious answers. But there's lots of other things I really enjoy...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Political Theory, Probability Analysis (yes, I can be geeky enough to do that when bored), Relationships, Daydream Stories, Fire Choreography, Structure Design, Art Constructions, Being a Superhero (hey, don't knock my dreams), Strange and Wonderful Contraptions. I've built up a long term zombie defense plan in my spare time, and really like planning out buildings and temporary structures. Lately, I've been creating a variety of fire toys.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either in my room on the computer, since I do plenty on Monday-Thursday nights, or off on some random adventure that we cook up at the last minute. Occasionally there's a dinner party or similar. Sometimes fire dancing in the street. Often of late I've been rock climbing at Planet Granite.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Really not sure what to put here... it's not that private if I'm willing to throw it up on the internet.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 24–37
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
I'm open to chat with anyone interesting. Better if you're actually in the San Francisco/Ingleside area, since people are far more interesting in person... better still if you know good places to eat in the area. And if you're a night owl who'd like to chat in the wee hours of the morning, go right ahead. I love chatting about a wide variety of topics, especially with people who know more about those topics than I do!
